Copthorne Hotel Merry Hill Dudley

The reason for choosing a Spa hotel is to have relaxing time to unwind. When we went to use the facilities we could not relax as the no. of children that were in the pool was ridiculous they were screaming, shouting and jumping in the pool. After 10min Myself and my wife got out and thought we would ask at reception when the quieter times are as the amount of children in there. We were told there is no quiet times as in was a bank holiday weekend. I believe this should be accounted for and have an adult only hour in the morning and afternoon. Myself and my wife like a cocktial but we only ordered one as the taste was awful the expresso Martini was sweet and watery there was little coffee flavour. The bar tender brought this to the table save me waiting at the bar which is normal when making cocktails, little did I know your bar tenders do not make the cocktails they are out of a bottle, but you are charging the same prices as one that would be properly made. The room we had 315 we could not close the window as no aircon in room and the weather was warm, but the music and the bar was load on the Sat Night until around 1.30 - 2am. The bed was comfy and the room was clean.

Lovely stay,definitely recommend to friends and family.Room had everything we needed lovely walks too around the area.

Second time at the hotel and I do think it's very good. Great location and the staff are always extremely friendly and welcoming. A few parts could do with a little modernisation but definitely value for money. I was even lucky enough to get upgraded to a suite which was nice. Foods decent too, good selection at breakfast and the evening menu is good, they do some great deals on multiple dinners etc if there is a group of you or family. Would happily stay again.

We had a pleasant one-night stay with my family.. Breakfast was good with great service by the staff.. please check the postcode for parking before you arrive as Google map takes you to a different closed gate - just to save your 3-4 mins to go around. We had a nice room with a waterfront, a bit spacious for a family of 3. Iron board cloth needs a change in room 216 Plus a nice shopping place around. Didnt visit the pool/spa.

We loved it all. It excelled our expectations. What made the stay even more special for our daughter was the Easter events. She loved doing the Easter egg hunt and finding all the clues. She was extremely excited when she received a large Easter egg. Very thoughtful. On Easter Sunday at breakfast the Easter bunny came out to meet all the children when they arrived for their breakfast. The delight on their faces was wonderful. They also got a chocolate from the bunny’s basket. I understand the Easter bunny was one of the team called Adam. Such a small gesture was priceless for the children. Well done to the whole team at Copthorne Merry Hill for their friendly approach and thoughtful ideas to make our stay extremely enjoyable. We will return.

Just a late arrival stay over to visit family the following morning. Only used it as a sleep over, but rooms are big, bed was comfortable, great value for what we paid. Had breakfast the following morning on a picturesque waterfront. Couldn't fault it 🙂

Long time checking in as couldn't find me on the system even though my stay was booked and paid for. Room was very dated and tired but bed was comfy. Mould on bathroom ceiling. Paper thin walls, could hear the family next door talking word for word. Rude staff in the bar. Had to ask for cutlery to eat my dinner with. From start to finish was a bad experience. I stay in over 20 hotels a year with work and can say this is one of the worst I've experienced. Avoid if you can.

Perfect for family get together for one night . This hotel was in a central location as we came from north and south to meet halfway. Great facilities for the three generations.
