The overall stay was pleasant. The staff were friendly and the area is beautiful. Unfortunately the hotel itself could do with some work. For example, the paintwork.on the hotel is peeling off, our television didnt work in the room and they had no one at 8pm to fix it. Also the breakfast is not included and overcharged at £15 a head, including for my kids who only ate cereal.

Just back from a 2 night stay over the bank Holiday in superior sea view room. Views were simply outstanding. Room was large and recently refurbished with a good shower and a big bed. Lots of power sockets. Fresh clean blackout curtains. We walked down the beach to the Cabin for Pimms and snacks. Cabin is also owned by the hotel. Further down on the left is another cafe called Down the Beach which does breakfasts and drinks on the morning. We didnt use the plunge pool as much - retreated as it was full and noisy. tiny kids were using the Jacuzzi unsupervised. Gymn well equipped. Overall a good stay and we will certainly be back

Picked this hotel by chance- lovely hotel, very clean and a great location. Friendly, flexible and helpful staff and good food. The bathroom in our large family room looked newly refurbished with a great shower. My only advice is leave the thermals at home it was very warm in the room. Overall a great discovery and we will be back.

The hotel location is in a fabulous location and the staff were helpful, however it was extremely noisy in our room (inland double) and we were woken up at the crack of dawn by bin men one day and what sounded like glass recycling the next. There was no parking outside the front of the hotel so had to park down the road and walk up. The doors in the corridor slammed shut constantly throughout the night and it was very difficult to get a good nights sleep what with the springy beds which were a small double and moved around constantly. My partner booked me a massage but unfortunately it wasnt as relaxing as I would have liked - the room was very cold, the massage bed was creaky and unstable, the room was adjacent to the pool so could hear people/families coming and going and their conversations etc.. not to mention the 'bell' at reception of the pool which keep being pressed ! anything but relaxing :-( the girl who did the massage was pleasant enough and very friendly, but her hands were freezing and with that and the cold room I was happy to get out and warm up! The pool was tiny , max of 4 people i would suggest is enough and the pool area looked very dated indeed. Breakfast wasnt included which was a shame as would have been nice to sit in conversatory area but it was deadly quiet with very little atmosphere - if it had been July/Aug time perhaps a different story as the hotel is situated in a beautiful spot.
