Hellaby Hall Hotel, BW Signature Collection

Stop over on way to our family in Northumberland accommodation a nice spacious room with a good breakfast. The Valentines Dinner was tastily presented & the staff friendly & helpful

Tired hotel, spa area okay but again rather tired. Staff okay. Previous guest’s poo and skid marks in our toilet on arrival which is pretty poor.

Had a great stay. Big clean family room, great buffet breakfast and a really good sized pool. Staff were all really helpful and friendly. Wouldn stay again.

Upon arrival I wasn’t impressed it looked literally nothing like the pictures I seen on Instagram I have a feeling that that’s the bit where the weddings take place and other guests can’t access. Our cheery Receptionist booked us in and directed us to our room & told us to take the lift to the ground floor, not sure why she told us to take the lift as all lifts were broken so an impossibly, and we arrived to our room we had a disabled bathroom being a full able bodied person I found the bizarre and with the sink being so low you had to bend down so much it was like a child’s sink,the sink had cracks in it and the hand rails covered in scum, the shower head was tiny & dirty. our executive room was tired & dated but adequate but again nothing like the pictures and very basic not really what I would expect from a 4 star hotel, no dressing gown,no slippers and no bottled water ! Bottled water is available from reception at an additional cost of £1.50 each,but there was a little kettle and tiny tv and biscuits. We booked for dinner at 6.30, and arrived and hour or so earlier for drinks in the bar, there was no table service which I find bizarre for a 4 star hotel. We arrived at 6.25 & ordered our food promptly it was only us and one other couple in the restaurant at time of ordering, we just ordered a main dish, no starters but by almost 7.20pm it had not arrived, yet other people had just arrived and there food was coming out within 5 minutes.
