Park Inn by Radisson Northampton Town Centre

I have stayed at this hotel before, actually every time I visit my family. I booked 4 nights. When I arrived ,visiting from the US last week, I was told that my prepaid reservation was canceled. Simply told that I could stay 2 nights then I will need to vacate the hotel as they overbooked. The lady who came to speak to me wasn’t in the least bit sorry or concerned that I had prepaid and booked this trip many months in advance. Now as a Radisson frequent member, one would think that this could simply never happen. I was told there’s nothing they could do and I couldn’t stay. The reason my sister and I stay here is because neither of us drive and the location is central to our needs. I can’t tell you how upsetting this was for me . I spoke to several other managers but nothing changed. My sister was able to keep her Saturday night reservation. After leaving the hotel we found that there was a room available for me the following night. So I booked again through a third party and got myself room. I want you to understand, I arrived with 60lbs of luggage. You need to vacate your rooms by 11:00am but you cannot check into another hotel until around 3:00pm. I did manage to get the Hotel to hold my suitcases until my return the following day. I had intended to take this further to the Better business bureau due to the lack of empathy and poor business planning. What is the purpose of treating your repeat customers so poorly?

Very central to Northampton, excellent staff and so switched on to helping. Cosy room with put up bed for our little one.. a little pricey for my burger but really enjoyed it from the bar on our first night..kids meals make up for it though.. amazing fruit salad and pasta for the little one which was free because we bought our meals.. breakfast well incredible amount on offer..there's something for everyone.. knowledge of area by reception thank you. Great taxi service from hotel as well..so helpful..pool wasn't working so check with the hotel if you need it, as it will be sorted hopefully for your stay..

Lovely hotel disappointing room too small for two adults and one child kept tripping over folding bed Draughty Windows do room was freezing which was a shame as location was perfect and staff very nice

This hotel has a lovely pool area, nice and warm - good for kids. The location is great, short walk from train station and just down the road from the shopping area and town square. Great breakfast, loads of choices, some of the hotel rooms had a problem with heating though - one of our party had to move twice before they got a room that was warm, but rooms were very clean and if you did have a problem there was always someone on-hand to sort it out. Bar area a little cold, and food ordered there seemed to be very slow to arrive, but overall a ideal place to stay for access to the town.
