Staff were great and helpful. Room was a little cramped for a family of 4. But was clean and fairly modern.

Good location, easy to get to and good size car park. Rooms were ok, not massive but clean and fine for an over night stay. Used the pool however was full of children and swimming lessons so almost impossible to swim lengths and not be splashed several times, not a relaxing experience at all! Recommend a swim lane for adults only

We liked the pool. The grown-ups like the jacuzzi and the sauna. The main bed was comfortable, but the sofa-bed was a bit saggy. There was a good choice of tasty food for breakfast. The free juice and water in the lobby was a welcoming touch. I particularly liked the fact that when I asked about the Very Important Kids promotion - which wasn't initially offered - the staff were quick to find goody-bags for the children. We also liked the fact that there was a children's area - with books and games to play - but the choice was quite limited and some parts were missing from some of the games. Although we booked a room for two adults and two children, there were only two mugs in the tea-and-coffee tray. There were also no hot chocolate sachets. But as soon as we mentioned this to reception, they were quick to bring extra mugs and hot chocolate sachets to our room.

Very Disappointed. We’ve stayed here 2-3 times now and it’s always been the same, no personal service from the staff, ordered drinks through their tablet system and took 30 minutes to arrive, went to the bar to ask where they were and they said that they were looking at the wrong screen, we were hoping for a relaxing weekend with the family and it’s not what we got, prices are way to high for what you get everything is basically self service, shame really.

Hotel was family and dog friendly, swimming pool facilities excellent. Only downside was breskfast £17 pp and hardly anything there. No bread, pastry products, even the hot food area only had some beans and a couple eggs left. We went for breakfast half way thtough sitting times but there didnt appear to be any attempt in restocking selection. Had to find and ask staff for bread, hot food, plates twice and even hot water to make tea.

Despite being just off thee busy m11, you can barely hear traffic noise from the room. Room was small but as a solo visitor it was more than adequate for my needs. I ordered room service and the food was good (pork belly bite starter was to die for). The girl delivering to my room was friendly and polite. It has a pool etc but i didnt use these facilities. Only quibble was the TV channels are in the most random of orders. Also there were kids running up and down the hall screaming, so better soundproof may be required on the door but they soon packed it up so not too much disturbance.

The hotel was perfectly clean, staff were amazing, pool was great and room lovely. There were a couple of issues with our room and the response couldn't have been better. I'd score 9.5/10; lost a half mark for the very limited selection of kids meals (although kids do eat free, so can't really complain) and a half mark for the plumbing problems. Scored an extra half mark back for the customer service, which really was great. Provided us the perfect base for local day trips

I've stayed and eaten here quite a few times and it's usually very good but this time the food and drinks took a long time to arrive (after ordering via the touch system) and the food was cold and overcooked. Many other customers were also complaining of waiting over an hour for food in the restaurant. I assume there was an issue with kitchen staff and the bar and restaurant also appeared to be understaffed. The staff dealt with the complaints apologetically but they seemed a bit junior/untrained with a lack of urgency and to be honest unaware of how poor the level of service was that they were providing.

Overall it was okay. the room was clean and as you would expect form a hotel of this standrd. only complaint is that there was a wedding on the function room and it was increasingly noisy, adults and children running up and down the corridors and shouting until the small hours of the morning, No staff checking or stopping any excess noise or unruly behavior. Breakfast had a good selection and the food was hot and satisfying. Just a shame no members of staff were interested or watching what was happening in the corridors were people were running wild
