I had a lovely room with a four poster bed! The bathroom was shining. Breakfast was very nice. My only criticism, and its more of a question, is, what has happened to the residents bar in a hotel? We were in town for a family funeral and a few of us met up in the hotel bar after the formalities of the day, and the bar shut at 10.30pm. This is before even normal pub closing time. It used to be that when you were staying in a hotel you could stay in the bar as long as you liked. It's not that we wanted to stay up all night drinking, but it would gave been nice if we could have if we wanted!

Our first sight we was unsure of the property. Our reservations were soon dispelled following the greeting we received. The room was first class and all staff were a credit to the the owners. We would have no hesitation in recommending The 3 Swans to family and friends.

We booked into this lovely Coaching Inn to celebrate a special birthday of a family member and it was really nice to stay and eat there. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming and make you feel 'at home'. Even our Greek Sheperd dog was made to feel at ease and welcome in the warm and comforting John Fothergill Bar. Room was comfortable and quiet with generous coffee and tea making facilities/items.

A completely unexpected and devastating family tragedy meant I could no longer stay at the 3 Swans for one of my April bookings. Despite me staying at the hotel a number of times prior, had further bookings for later in the month, intended to book further dates throughout 2024, and requested a move of my booking date rather than a cancelation, the hotel/group were unsympathetic and refused any movement at all. This of course meant that whilst I was out of pocket, they benefited from still taking the full cost of the booking, without having to provide any room, food or service in return.
