Impressive on arrival - very grand courtyard with piano playing and afternoon tea in progress. Service at the front desk was consistently slow - unclear if this was due to lack of staff or inefficiencies in checkin/checkout. But wait times were always 5-10 mins. The most disappointing was the spa. Although it looked like a good spa, the times when children are allowed in are so wide that it is difficult to spend much time in there before it (literally) became less relaxing than our local municipal pool. We stuck it out for 15 mins but far from a relaxing ‘oasis of luxury’ the ambience was quite stress inducing. Due to the times when kids are allowed to use the spa, It seems the only option to avoid kids is to use the spa during breakfast or lunch.

Elevators are not efficient. When you enter a down elevator it almost always goes up first. Bathroom tile in junior suite 352 need attention. Some are not grouted properly and move when one steps on them. For a hotel of this quality and price point there should be more attention paid to these details. Housekeeping staff is excellent!!! Every detail is attended to!

Absolutely loved our stay here. From check in to checkout we couldn’t have asked for any more. We were celebrating our little girls 2nd birthday and the staff went out of their way to make her, and us, feel special. The little touches like baby towels, toddler robes and slippers were super cute. Breakfast was wonderful, swimming pool a fab addition to a London hotel and good children’s swimming hours. Every staff member we came across were brilliant. Upgraded room was much appreciated.

This was the best choice of hotel for me and my husband and our three kids (under 10 years old). It was in a convenient and historic location, guest services were excellent and the food was great. We will be back for sure.

Terrible customer service. An adult extra bed is only suitable for a child. Room not cleaned and toilets on mezzanine floor are dirty.

The hotel is drop-dead gorgeous, and the rooms/bathrooms very spacious. Very clean and prompt service. Great in-room dining. Doormen are prompt and pay attention. Staff was able to check me in early, which was lovely. Two caveats about this hotel: 1- the restaurants aren't a great option if you're dining even a little off hours. 2- The pool has kids hours 9-11am and 3-5 pm (not great for families actually going out during the day), which is not listed on this booking, I was told about it at check in. Had I known, I chose this hotel because my daughter loves swimming- had I known, I would've chosen another hotel. The first time we tried to use the pool during the limited children's hours, it was closed due to a chemical imbalance, which I feel is something that should be taken care of overnight, not during limited kids hours. We finally made it to the pool once, and it was quite cold so we didn't stay long.

The rooms were big and nice at this hotel. The staff was excellent! The only down side was too many rules at the pool, especially for kids.

So disappointed. Very poor experienced with staff at checkin, rude, disrespectful, disinterested and fake. It was my first time in London with my son and this staff name Rai was very rude. I was on the line waiting for my turn to checkin and I had my son over my shoulder to make him sleep. I turned around to make him sleep, this Asian girl came just cut me out, didn’t even ask if I was on line waiting. Than this Staff Rai went in to login the computer and she asked who’s next, I toke off and went before this Asian girl. But Rai was more interested to help the Asian girl instead of help me with kid over my shoulder. I let her do her thing, I didn’t want to be sound disrespectful and when it came to my turn, I told her exactly what happened. And I told her the girl cut me off without asking me and plus I told her she have no sympathy over a mother with children. She say sorry but she didn’t even act like she was sorry. I told her, she wasn’t even sorry because she didn’t helped me in any circumstances. That day it was my son’s birthday, we planned to go to terrace having his birthday dinner, we didn’t even go because the situation that happen earlier. We left the hotel we went to eat somewhere else.

We really enjoyed our stay in London. My kids loved the doorman Orlando. He really made them feel special. I would stay there again if we ever go back!

I loved this hotel. The location was great. I loved the ambiance and decor. The room was large. The staff was extremely attentive. The kids loved the breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.
