3 out of 5 stars

We had a family room for 4 people. It was the smallest, most cramped room ever. There was no place to put 4 suitcases or walk around the room! We were sleeping up against the walls. The bathroom had zero storage-not one shelf or anything. But the shower was amazing!! We all loved the shower! The staff was unfriendly and we felt like they try to nickel and dime charge you for every little thing. The front desk staff was speaking to each other in some Indian language and obviously speaking about us. I think that is very rude. The location of the property is near perfect! There is easy access to train and tube stations. It is just a quick walk to Hyde Park. I would stay here again if the price is reasonable. This is definitely not a 4 or 5 star worthy price point, but is a solid 3 star property.

Although only a fleeting visit and minimal time spent in hotel, they were able to book me in early, room was clean and comfortable, was able to come and go whenever. I didn’t sample breakfast due to meeting family for brunch. Had a good quiet night, surroundings were lovely in Lancaster Gate and proximity to the tube was ideal although only Central Line access. Would have liked to stay another night to see Hyde Park, maybe next time.

Pictures are deceiving. Definitely not a 4 star hotel. From the lobby to the actual room. Nothing looked as they did when I booked my room online. 3 of us in one room, 2 adults & 1 child (11yrs), the double bed & the twin seemed perfect and a very small sitting area was adequate as we were only staying our final night in the UK. I usually book based off pictures & reviews but moving forward I’ll pay attention to sq ft. Desk between the beds with an ottoman type seat was the “sitting” area. Decent amount of built ins for storage. Refrigerator wasn’t working, had it looked at by concierge, she said it was working. I told her to feel the inside walls (they were even remotely cold) she said the items inside felt cold. I told her that’s bc we brought them into the room cold. She said someone can look at the morning, I reminded her that we were only saying the one night so it wasn’t necessary for us, per se but for the next person that stays in that room. Obviously, the refrigerator not working isn’t the end of the world but we did have perishables that needed to stay cold. The stall shower filled up with water immediately. Each of us had to turn the shower off multiple times, while showering, in order to let it drain so it didn’t overflow onto the bathroom floor. The tv is compatible to cast or log in to streaming apps. Definitely a plus as our other 2 hotels did not have that during the trip.
