Best Western Plus Bentley Hotel & Spa

I think this hotel is only surviving due to the Best Western name being associated with it. The outside looks very 80s and that is echoed on the inside. The rooms itself was comfortable enough although they seem to have a serious issue with the plumbing. The cold tap produced warm water for a period of time before stopping altogether. I tried to have a shower, but given the previous statement about the cold water running hot, the only water that come out of the shower was either scalding hot or just a dribble. I think my room was located near the gym as I had to listen to the thumping of someone running on a treadmill while trying to get to sleep. The room also overlooked the main road into Lincoln and as such, I was woken up several times in the night due to traffic noise. The food in the restaurant was also poor. I had a potato thing for starters and the potatoes were dry inside. The Chicken Korma I had for the main course, despite being the size of a child's portion, was one of the blandest and most tasteless meals I can remember. It is very rare that I ever find the need to add seasoning to a meal, but this "curry" required a number of applications of salt to add flavour. It's safe to say, that I would never stop in this hotel again.

Good family( spa, treatments, pool jucuzzi, steam room & gym. Good food in the restaurant. It's just a shames that all the internal bedroom & fire doors in the corridors bang really loudly, plus you get a lot of traffic noise on 2 sides of the hotel.

This is a great hotel - for £40 a night, adjacent to the bypass i enjoyed listening to the trucks going past in the early hours - trying to get back to sleep on the tired old mattress after I'd been disturbed by the fire alarm going off. I say disturbed as i wasn't asleep due to the mattress and the trucks. Unfortunately due to a family emergency I had to book at the last minute rather than years in advance which is what would be required to make this hotel attract me again
