Lea Gate

I was there on a family visit, this is a very friendly, functional hotel, good food and friendly staff

The room smell is absolutely disgusting, damp and the room in general dirty. There is a squashed dead bug on the skirting board that clearly hasn’t been cleaned. My daughter is coughing continuously from what I believe will be damp/mould spores. I have had to leave the extractor fan on continuously in the bathroom. Can’t even get a decent signal for a wifi so can’t contact anyone and the children are unable to use their tablets. I’ve paid for a family room and haven’t been provided any bedding for the spare bed. There is nobody in reception to complain to or get bedding from so currently 3 of us in bed together which is not ideal. I’ve been bitten on the back of my neck while laid on the bed. 2 of the light fittings don’t even have bulbs in them. I had a 2 and 5 year old with me so couldn’t take them elsewhere especially on bank holiday weekend and over 90 min drive back home. Appalling accommodation

Excellent family stay, bathroom could do with a update, and childrens bed were fairly hard. Staff were brilliant and very helpful
