The building is lovely and everything was very clean. But my real problem was with the response I got when I checked out and made a comment about the bed in room 1. We found the bed extremely uncomfortable, you could feel every spring in the mattress - clearly an old mattress. I did not sleep well at all so I made a comment on check out and the response of "oh sorry" didnt feel very genuine at all. I will not recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Room was old dark and dingy, really smelled fusty and musty. Looked like it was decorated in 1980 by a small child with a dlind fold on and no sense of colour co-ordination. I had to drop my bags and run to a family party got back to the hotel and it was apparent the room was not in a good condition. (No 36) . It was like trying to find the ventilation hatch in the death star. Checked in and now being late and driven 7 hours blah blah....we litterally sparked out. Anyone managing a hotel who is prepared to put guests in a room should have a look and ask themselves would they pay to stay in it. I feel its over priced and if it was priced correctly, I would have stayed somewhere else, as the price should reflect the room, the kind of room you'd avoid. I expected more. Breakfast buffet was cold on saturday the 17th Dec 2022. Cold poached eggs and bacon! Yuck. I had to ask for a fresh cooked breakfast which was provided. cigarette ends all over the entrance way, road to the carpark wasn't gritted so was very slippery.
