Staff very friendly and food in restaurant excellent. Went to celebrate a family member’s birthday, celebratory dinner held in hotel. Unfortunately service left much to be desired and was supposed to have chicken supreme what arrived was 1/4chiken with gravy and some of vegetables not cooked.

Myself and my Mum stayed overnight whilst visiting the area. We were absolutely over the moon with our visit, we were given one of the gorgeous rooms in the cottage on site (room number 8) which was huge and the bed was amazingly comfortable. Both myself and my Mum suffer with arthritis and for us to get a good nights sleep you know the bed must be good! We ate in the restaurant for both lunch and dinner, the food was beautiful and the range of gluten free meals was again excellent which made a real treat for my Mum as she struggles to find food she can eat. The room had everything we needed and more, including a beautiful sofa and a huge tv so we could really enjoy our evening before bed relaxing. We drove just a short 10 minute drive to Cheshire Oaks for some shopping too. The staff were so welcoming, kind and friendly, and we thoroughly enjoyed chatting to them. There is a real family feel to the staff and it was clear everyone loves working there (which is rare). We will 100% be visiting again soon, we had a fantastic weekend at the Woodcote.

Lovely hotel, ideal for Chester & Cheshire Oaks, we booked a family room (#4) very roomy, both beds were soooo comfortable, bathroom clean & modern, staff friendly and helpful. Can’t comment on dinner as didn’t eat at the restaurant but the breakfast was superb 5* in our opinion.

On arrival we realised there was a function happening at the hotel which is fine but unfortunately it was very loud (we had a room in the outer building as well as the main) if we had known I probably wouldn't have booked it as we just wanted something quiet. The restaurant manager checked us in and he was lovely and very welcoming. Offered to help with luggage etc.... Unfortunately our breakfast was a disaster we came for breakfast roughly around 9.30am and there was only one other table waiting to be served. All that was ordered from the kitchen was beans on toast and poached egg on toast we had to wait over 30 min and the eggs came out raw I cancelled it in the end as we just wanted to get to the zoo. The waitress didn't know if gluten free was available or weather they did alternative milk ,it just was very disappointing especially given the fact poached eggs are £6.90 usually . The supervisor gave us everything else on the house as a gesture for the inconvenience. I would have rather had a nice breakfast though it just set the day wrong. And when checking out the lady's at the desk just took the key card and continued with their chat it would have been nice to have been asked how the stay was or just something I feel the costumer service was lacking apart from the restaurant manager on our arrival. Me and my kids loved the room and it was clean so can't fault it there at all. I would probably stay again in the hope it was just an off day
