Stayed here as a work trip whilst visiting Alton Towers. Really loved it, food was great, staff were friendly and attentive and the rooms were really clean. My only gripe would be that we had a family room and the two kids beds were just blow up ones, not actual beds. Apparently they didn't sleep that well on them, other than that top notch and would definitely stay again.

We had a weekend off so having neglected the midlands branch of the family for many years, decided it was time to catch up. The pub/ hotel is situated slightly out of the centre of the village of Repton, a beautiful pace dominated by a lovely church and a public school that apparently threw out Jeremy Clarkson so it can't be all bad... The pub is characterful, with old beams and original fixings but with a grey colour scheme on the walls that gives it a contemporary feel. Our room was small but very nicely decorated with the beams and character from downstairs all present and correct. The bed was slightly soft for my taste and the duvet very heavy but all was fresh and clean and unusuually the room smelt great when we walked in. We retired to the bar in the evening and concentrated on sampling the beers. There is a micro brewery attached and I can happily report that the beers are consistently tasty across the range. We had breakfast twice and dinner once, all meals very good and reasonably priced for food of this standard. We would recommend The Boot to anyone and will be staying again next spring when we plan to visit the rellys again. Lucky relatives.
