Superb location to stay after visiting the NEC. Definitely worth visiting for anyone with more than a passing interest in football. Grand entrance hall and communal areas. Good health club and 17 meter pool. Sauna and steam room could be used by children aged 7 years and over with adults. Ice scrub and ice cold shower is also fun. Good quality and variety of food both at breakfast, and dinner.

Excellent stay, staff were all very friendly, pool is great and the kids had a great time, although it's probably more set up for working trips than a family break but we've stayed as a family twice now and enjoyed the break. The birthday platter for our son's birthday was a nice touch.

No water in room.
Milk in room didn’t get replenished on the second day.
Incorrect advice given by staff regarding pool access times for kids.
Service in bar poor, had to clean my own plates and was given knifes with no forks!
Also, Alarm clock in room was set for 6am so woke myself and my son up when we had arrived late the evening before.

Stunning facility. Expensive but you certainly get what you pay for. Loads of Football teams junior through to senior from all around the world staying whilst we were there.

First I bought enough tescos vouchers to cover the advertised cost but couldn't use £30 of them as the taxes couldn't be paid with vouchers. We had dinner and after 45 mins was told had forgot to put order in. 30 mins later dinner arrived and had taken order wrong. I asked to take service charge off bill and was quizzed why, bit embarrassing as I thought why was obvious food took an hour and 15 to arrive and didn't deliver correct order. Then I asked reception to turn fan off as couldn't sleep with noise, said they would be didn't. Then at 11pm someone kicked my door and woke me up. Then in the morning i went for a relaxing swim only to find lots of babies in the pool and I couldn't swim. When I mentioned to reception that they should advertise the Wednesday swim a bit more so people know when it's on and can make alternative arrangements I was told that you have a contract with water babies so that was why, which kind of missed the point really. Anyway the facilities are nice and well kept and staff were really polite but didn't really deliver a few things and didn't seemed that concerned about correcting. If the hotel was £50 a night I wouldn't have minded but at £170 a night you expect a bit better. Thought it was over priced and wouldn't stay there again.

The mattress in our room was not comfy- when my husband moved I got bounced around. There were 4 of us in a family room which was quite a squeeze. The kids 'double' sofa bed was not really suitable for a 9 and 11 year old to share and consequently none of us slept at all well.

Unfortunately stayed when there was a children's football tournament so was very loud. Bathroom door wouldn't shut correctly, and family room was very small. Evening meal was a BBQ which wasn't great either. Breakfast was nice.

Hilton is lovely but family room is very smalland basic and for the price it was not worth the money. We had no soap, no shower gel etc which you usually get in a hotel! Some rooms had a mini fridge but we didn’t!

We were staying here for a friend’s wedding near by. Lovely countryside remote location, surrounded by green. The hotel itself feels very corporate, large and a little soulless but in keeping with what you would expect from a Hilton. If you’re a football fan this hotel is probably great with all the photos and trophies. The room itself was big, the bed was large and comfy. There was a nice seating area, plenty of space to get ready as well as the inclusion of an iron/ironing board. The bathroom room had a separate shower and bath. The sports channels were free (I’m told usually these are paid for) so my other half was pretty pleased with this! There’s also a speaker in the bathroom so you can hear the TV in there.
The only small negatives were that the shower seemed to have a mind of its own with the temperature. You would set it and then every few minutes it would become scalding hot but would then return to the original temperature. The other thing was that there was a small speck of blood on the sheet which wasn’t the nicest.
The spa facilities were good, clean and well maintained. There were quite a lot of kids in the pool so probably not somewhere if you’re looking to get some lengths in or a properly relaxing break.
