We were a party of ten adults and two children who were there to celebrate a family birthday. The hotel made a special effort at dinner with a beautifully laid table. The food and wine were excellent value. Everyone was pleased with their rooms and the two people in the party with allergies were treated thoughtfully. The hotel is set in lovely surroundings on the University of Essex grounds and the staff were lovely.
