This was our first visit to the hotel and we were very impressed. Driving up to the hotel through the golf course showed the size of the hotel and leisure facilities. Check-in and the room ( we had a family room) were as you would expect. We tried the golf range and shooting which were very enjoyable. Breakfast was also very tasty and plenty of choice. Overall definitely be returning.

Excellent hotel. Plenty to do for outdoor activities. Friendly and helpful staff. Only small point to note was Pool a little small and a bit cool as plenty of families.

Weekend escape for two. Was a beautiful hotel and we booked the suite which was lovely. Only draw back was you could only access suites from outside. Fab it wasn’t raining and lovely it was quiet however, not sure I would’ve liked it had weather been different! Room itself was lovely. I requested separate bath tub and shower. Was very spacious and you had complimentary robes and slippers. Room service food was limited and pretty average but it hasn’t put me off coming again. Grounds were beautiful and didn’t realise until after booking it was very child friendly. Def coming again with the kids!

Lovely hotel. The staff go to a great effort to be friendly, from reception to cleaning staff. The sculpture garden is excellent and the grounds lovely. The room and beds were very comfortable. The pool was fantastic, a good depth for kids, very clean and also there's a nice hydrotherapy pool, sauna and steam room. The changing rooms were immaculately maintained and modern with clean showers and good quality shampoo and body wash available. The whole hotel felt well cared for with modern touches. The breakfasts in the main restaurant were of good quality and very tasty. Our only small complaint would be the dinner in the main restaurant which was overall nice, but quite expensive for what you get. Also we got a melon starter for both our kids that they couldn't eat as it tasted like it had been handled with hands that hadn't been washed since handling raw onions and garlic...not a welcome or expected taste! We mentioned this to the waiter who said he would feed this back to the kitchen but it remained on our bill at the end of the meal and I had to ask them to remove it. This small bugbear aside we would definitely stay here again and look forward to visiting again with the family sometime next year.

Lovely hotel with great amenities. 5* staff, always happy to help, Rooms large and comfortable. Fantastic food. Will definately return but never again in school holidays. Swimming pool full of children with no adult only morning swim. Not reccomended for a quiet break. Wasnt warned about the building work that was being carried out accross the yard which started just after 8am although reception said they shouldnt start till 9am. But overall a great place to stay.

Booked a night here over Easter weekend. What a great hotel. Room was comfortable and clean. Our room slept our family of 4 comfortably. If only we had known beforehand about the activities that the hotel had to offer, we would have stayed longer. Kids were entertained the whole time. There really was no need to leave the site! Now looking to book a few nights here so we can try out the family fun activities ( swimming, ropes course, crazy golf/ frisbee etc etc)

First impressions weren't great - the housekeeper was rude to my son while we were checking in. The bedrooms were lovely but the corridor leading to the bedrooms was being re-furbished with paint/wallpaper stripped off the walls. On the day we were leaving we couldn't get out of our room as the workmen were steaming the walls - certainly not what I would expect for what I paid for the room. The toiletries were from the White Company - great attention to detail, so I was a little disappointed when the coffee in the room was Nescafe! We went to use the pool, had to be careful of the tiles as they were very slippery when wet! Lots of kids in the pool ignoring rules of no running/jumping etc. There was a life guard but he was cleaning the mirrors. We then went for dinner in the Vines - food was great, but service was slow. Breakfast at 8am was not overly busy, lots of staff around. Buffet breakfast was very basic, similar to what you would expect at a 3 star hotel breakfast - the hot food was tasteless, and coffee was horrid. It's such a shame as it's a wonderful hotel but the dining experience certainly let it down.
