YOTEL Istanbul Airport LANDSIDE, City Entrance

It is definitely very convenient to have a hotel in the airport. We’ve rented a room for overnight and then for a few hours. Both rooms were clean, quiet and had everything we needed to freshen up. The restaurant adjacent to the hotel had very good food and supper friendly staff. Front desk people were also very friendly. We asked where we could store our luggage for while we would explore the city, and they offered to keep it free of charge. I would say there were two negative points. One was the fact that it was hard for us to find the hotel. With heavy luggage and kids it took a while walking from our gate. There were no signs nor directions pointing to the hotel. We had to stop and ask for directions quite a few times. Another negative thing was that the check in was at 6pm and check out was at 9 am. But other than that we had a very pleasant experience.

The hotel is not very well advertised so we walked back and forth to find the entrance. Check in was easy, rooms are very nice, large and quiet. However signs to identify your room are not very intuitive. It took us a while to find the room. Beds are comfy, but the pillows are not that great. Both me and my husband had to sleep without them as they were very uncomfortable. The refrigerator froze our food which was unexpected and unpleasant as my kid’s snack was no longer good to eat. Nice breakfast, with diverse food. From the room you can see flight schedule and you’re exactly in the check in area, so very convenient. However, rates are a bit too spicy if you ask me.

Of course, you cannot beat the location - within the airport and easy to find. It was nice to be able to rest in a nice and safe place between the grueling flights, especially with a little child. The hotel was nice and clean, with a comfortable bed and a big nice TV. There was no coffee machine in the room and no room service for food, but you can easily go down to their restaurant which seemed to work even at the late hour that we got there. Overall, a nice experience, though pretty pricey. I would definitely recommend to travelers with kids.

For a long layover in the GIANT Istanbul airport--maybe as big as 6-7 football stadiums--this is perfect! It's located right in the departures terminal, once you exit passport control nr Gates 6-7; it is clean & modern & very quiet, but be advised it's mainly windowless (our room did have a high window overlooking an airshaft). We loved it because we arrived at the hotel at around 8PM, quickly checked-in, dropped our bags, and for about $20-$25 US we caught a cab into the fun, very busy Port Galata, where we walked around--so much GREAT nightlife!!--had dinner, did a quick tour of this part of Istanbul, then returned to our hotel, for a few hours sleep & an early morning connection! Yotel Hotel is great for these kind of connections! It also appears to have a nice restaurant, if you want it. That said, Istanbul airport is perhaps the biggest (newest!!) airport I've ever seen, with endless food & shopping. It appears to never close, so for long layovers & connecting flights, Yotel Hotel is perfect--clean, pleasant, with great hot showers & comfortable beds. Our family of 3 was very comfortable in the Junior King Family suite. Check-in was fast & very friendly! **NOTE TO TRAVELERS** To enter Istanbul you will need a temporary VISA best done online *before* you leave on yr trip (abt $40US) or at passport control you'll need to return "upstairs" to get a visa, which is a hassle. Also, security at check-in/re-entry is heavy, so give yourself AT LEAST 1 hour!

Check in time at 6:00 PM? Check out time at 9:00 AM? Are you kidding me? I had to pay 66 Euros to check in before 6:00 pm. Iwas never warned about this late check in and I have been to the 7 continents and I never experienced this late check in time anywhere else. The room was extremely small. The bed reclines and once you extend it completely there is hardly any room to walk around it. The shower leaked water on the floor of the room after I showered. The only positive is that you are already inside the airport if you have an early flight. Otherwise stay somewhere else.

I have stayed in this hotel before. It is very convenient. The room was small for 4 people (we are a family of 4) compared to other rooms in the same hotel. Perhaps they should not offer it for 4 people and just for 3. All the rest was fine.

The room is clean neat and space very suitable for family over all its excellent room
