Deevana Plaza Phuket

2nd time staying, 1st stay prior to covid so a few differences noticed. Nice addition of some pool slides and a kids swimming area. Hotel is a convenient position, close walk to beach road and OTOP market. Alternatively also an easy walk to Jungceylon/Central Plaza and Bangla Road. Taxi 15-20mins to Kata Beach. Buffet breakfast service caters to a large variety of cuisines. All staff including reception, room service, maintenance and security are polite, friendly and helpful. Always smiling greeting guests. Tried room service, meals were tasty but as we were 6th floor wasn’t the hottest meal. Happy hour cocktails by the pool, but probably didn’t utilise this as much as I would have compared to places that you can scan a QR code by the poolside table etc. Another pleasant stay 😊

Hotel is a little run down and decor is dated. Towels unfortunately were dirty and needed to be replaced each night, however staff were always very friendly and helpful. The restaurant and room service is fantastic and highly recommend the mango sticky rice. Location is good - a little further out from the hustle bustle but still within a short walking distance. Would recommend to friends and family groups

Mixed review, we couldn't have been happier with our room. It was spotless, large and the bed was very comfortable (mattress topper) with a large balcony and pool view. The resort itself was a little underwhelming. Staff always seemed a little stressed (not that the individuals were to blame, overall they were very helpful), probably because whatever systems they have in place, made them take on many roles. Breakfast, although having many options, was a disaster. The line for eggs was 15 deep at stages because they only jad 1 poor guy doing it. Don't ask for a poached egg, you either won't get one or they fdrop a pre cooked egg back into hot water, disgusting. Some items like bacon, took 20 minutes to replenish. It was very ho-hum. Don't chrck in after 10(like we did) because you won't get a welcome drink and will have to carry your bags yourself, like we did. Location is ok, 1k from jungceylon, 500m from patong beach and right next door is an open air family run restaurant and juice bar, very cheap and lovely family. Go to malin malin plaza (market) 400m away for dinner for AUD $4 delicious meals. You need to go out of town for most geniune thai meals, you will get ripped off in patong at most places
