Mandarava Resort and Spa Karon Beach

The property was absolutely gorgeous and the 5 pools were definitely amazing. I tried out 3 of them and got lots of glorious sun. The views of the ocean were spectacular not to mention the sunsets. Will definitely be recommending this place to friends & family.

Our family of 17 recently stayed at Mandarava resort for huge family trip/celebration of a lifetime. We loved every aspect to our stay from the swimming pools, the food options, the comfort of our rooms and most importantly, the helpful staff. We booked several types of rooms and all were incredibly comfortable, spacious, and clean. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet every morning and loved the Thai restaurant on site. The location was excellent and had shuttles on site to take us to different parts of the resort and down to the beach. We felt welcomed by the staff who were always willing to help with a smile on their face. They helped us arrange transportation, flowers sent to the room and even helped my mom by bringing breakfast to her room one morning due to a sprained foot. Thank you so much Mandarava for this experience! We have created so many memories here. We will definitely return soon.

Beautiful resort, pools amazing. When people mention the steep hills, they aren’t joking. It’s steep, bots lots of shuttle buses running around. Went with kids 9 & 12 and they loved it. Wouldn’t want to be staying here with baby or pensioner. Couldn’t fault the staff. Room was great, spacious and cleaned well every day. Lobby is currently undergoing renovation but this is far away from rooms and didn’t impact our stay at all. Breakfast Buffet was good, ( not amazing) but they do have a barista proving good coffee’s at no extra charge.

WOW! This was the last hotel we stayed at on our Honeymoon and we could not have made a better decision! We stayed in the Sea Pearl Room with private pool access and it was a dream! The amenities were fantastic, the beds were super comfortable (which is rare in Thailand) and it was very clean. The private pool access was definitely a plus! If you do opt to stay at this resort, be prepared to walk! The resort is on a hill so in order to get around, there are multiple little hills. It's not too strenuous, just be prepared. The restaurant had stunning views and a wonderful breakfast buffet. There were a lot of options in terms of food. The location is great too. Just far enough from the main area of Karon beach to not be bothered by the action, but close enough that you can easily access by foot or taxi. Karon Beach definitely caters more towards families and couples. It is more tame than the Patong area of Phuket. We would definitely recommend this hotel 10/10!

The property was pretty but not very accommodating. We had a circumstance beyond our control of needing to adjust our stay and they absolutely wouldn't help us and sent out a junior staff and wouldn't let us speak to a supervisor...they blamed Expedia for not being flexible when in actuality it was their resort as Expedia said they would approve our change though Expedia did not give that to me in writing...its extra cost we are out of pocket unless Expedia can do something for us retroacively. They wanted me to call Expedia from there but id have wasted what precious little time we had in this area. My advice to Expedia is not uae hotels that don't have a cancelation policy as life happens and sometimes needs changes. They nect accommodation id booked was emailing me and stating so accommodatingly that if we needed to cancel or change anything for any reason that we could up to 48 hrs before. I had tried to adjust our stay at Mandarava 30 days before we got there and they would not help us....sadly looks like we're out $$$$ Please drop this resort or require a change in their inflexible policy aa it seems a bit prehistoric.

Couple Friendly hotel, not suitable for families with kids . Service level not even a 3 star level . Don’t wish to say much . Wouldn’t recommend.
