The Pavilions Phuket

The Pavilions Phuket was a home away from home. I was treated with care and respect from the time I checked in until the time I checked out. My flight was scheduled well after check out time and I was still given access to the property and amenities. I plan to stay here every time I'm back in Phuket. I felt like family. Thank you to everyone that I have come in contact with during my stay. I loved every minute!

Property had potential to be amazing. Bad mgmt overall. However, the place is run down. There needs to be updated. The pool with the view was amazing. However, my kid got sick from it. He vomited with 3 days of diarrhea. We found a big cockroach in master bed. It was climbing up the curtain as we were trying to go to sleep. Not sure if it was safety reason but kitchen does not provide microwave. However, it has oven (which we were never gonna use). Windows and blinds in master bath didn’t seemed to be cleaned, making the bath tub and bath area unusable. Wifi did not work, they tried to fix it a couple of time and it didn’t work. The tech support team had to come in the next day to work on it. In the meantime, They gave us a cellphone to use hotspot, which worked but not throughout the whole villa. This was very inconvenient. They could have checked it before we checked in. TV in Master Bed also un-watchable. The pictures are grainy. It took them a day to fix but still didn’t work. Cleaner came in everyday and did a good job. She delivered most things we asked for. Since this is a large property and with steep hills, we needed to use buggy to go anywhere. We have to call to request the bugg and sometime it can be delayed as they only had 4 buggies for the whole Pavilion property. It makes everything inconvenient. Breakfast was just okay. Everything was cooked too oily. Coffee and fruit/juice stations were good. But some times they run out of glasses.

we booked this resort based on the description on their website. I have to say it was quite disappointing for several reasons. First, the goood things, villas are spacious, well appointed and the view from the ocean pool villas is really great. Now the bad, staff is not really well trained, they tend to forget a lot of orders (both at restaurant and in villa dining), the choice of food in the menu is quite limited and quality is just average. The resort mentions a no child policy on their website but actually they do not apply it and there are kids everywhere, which is not a problem but just do not mention it on your website if it is not true. There was a function organized at the hotel while we were staying there and it seemed that the resort was not able to cope with the function and the regular service of the guests. As an exemple, we wanted to arrange an in villa BBQ for sunday evening and tried to book on saturday afternoon but we were told "sorry we cannot do it because all BBQ are booked for our event". No alternative was offered and I am pretty sure you can find a BBQ and a cook in Phuket with more than 24 hours notice.
