Krabi Resort

Walking distance to many restaurants, the beach is steps from my room, they provide beach towels, many louge chairs on the beach for guest, rooms where very spacious, with air conditioning the staff was very helpful with any situation that came up. Would recommend this hotel to anyone thats want to be right on the beach, and this beach is kid friendly sandy swallow warm water. Very quiet at night. I would differently book here again.

I loved the Krabi resort. This is probably the best hotel in AoNang in terms of location and value for money. The scale of the resort it impressive, probably having its roots in the hey days prior to the Asian financial crisis. It's a somewhat older facility, but you can feel the history of this grand facility. It reminded me of the resorts I would visit with my family during my childhood in the 90s. There weren't many people there when I stayed. It has wonderful tanning / seating area at the section of the hotel that faces the beach. The breakfast is generous enough. There were a few small quirks with my room that I won't bother to mention as these were entirely tolerable considering the prices charged . It's a great option for young families working to a budget. A relaxed and unpretentious hotel with a family atmosphere.

It has been10 years ago that I've been in Ao Nang (2004, Tsunami period) Compared to that Ao Nang isn't that cosy anymore, but it is fine if you've never been there before. The resort was good, not highso, but pretty decent for couples (beach house) but also great when you have kids (pirate style swimming pool). Nice and friendly staff, smiling at you when walkby. Breakfest was great, they had green, red and masaman curry and pancakes). Normally I hate breakfest in Thai hotels, this was perfect for us. Coffee is as usual filter coffee. The beach is ok but not a white sand beach. If you are a beachlover and crystal clear water, skip Ao Nang. If you need to choose between Ko Lanta or Ao Nang, go for Ko Lanta. That is more peacefull and fun to do sightseeing with motorbike. We travel through Thailand for 15 years+, and have seen all.
