A truly AMAZING hotel! Deborah and Martin made my family and I feel so welcome. Great breakfast spread, fantastic staff, outstanding views of the Matterhorn and a beautiful spa. We had a wonderful time on our vacation thanks to you. We can’t wait to come back!! 😊

10 minute walk from the main Zermatt shopping area this small luxury hotel is definitely one to consider when visiting and skiing Zermatt. Breakfast included with appetizing options and great service every morning. Ski equipment storage, spa and hamam where well enjoyed after a ski day in these magnificent alps. Salon with fireplace with all day beverages and snacks made the stay even more enjoyable. We had the family room with our 2 young adults and all where comfortable. Much to enjoy at the Alpenlodge.

The Alpenlodge is truly special! It is a family run boutique hotel with attentive, friendly staff, exceptional accommodations and a breakfast that was superb. This was our first trip to Switzerland so we had many questions and every person we encountered at Alpenlodge (before and during our trip) was very patient and helpful. They even helped coordinate dessert for our son who turned 13 during our stay and decorated our room with balloons too. The location was very quiet, and while it was a bit further from town, it was still very walkable. If it’s cold or snowy, the taxis are easy to catch and the hotel provided discount vouchers which was a very nice perk! We are truly grateful for the hospitality and care we received from Alpenlodge. Highly recommend!

The lodge staff was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. This included doing laundry for us while we were out for the day. The charge was 10 euros for wash, dry, and fold. This was very much worth it as we were able to spend our time doing what we wanted to do without worrying about laundry. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We had an excellent view of the Matterhorn both evenings and mornings from our room. Having bunk beds for the kids was a bonus versus having one bed for them to share. The breakfast buffet had a variety of options to choose from, and they will also prepare eggs for you. Definitely would recommend, and make sure you book a room with a view of the Matterhorn. If you book a room for more than one night they will arrange transportation from the train depot to the lodge for you.

Alpenlodge Lodge and Zermatt Switzerland will hold such a special place in our hearts. Deborah, her family and staff were all so warm, kind, and helpful. The breakfast was delicious each morning and it truly felt like a mountain oasis! We HIGHLY recommend Alpen Lodge!

We had a wonderful visit to Zermatt with our family on a recent ski trip. Part of what made our stay so special was how fantastic the Alpenlodge is. Without exception the owners and staff were friendly and accommodating. They provided excellent dining recommendations and the facilities were top notch. The views of the Matterhorn from our rooms were breathtaking. Sitting at breakfast each day with a view of the sun rising on the Matterhorn is something we are unlikely to forget any time soon. Thank you so much for your hospitality! It made our trip to Zermatt that much more special.
