Eastwest Hotel

Great hotel, well located for the lake, river and old town as well as the local ferry service. We booked the suite (duplex, 2 bathrooms) super king bed, excellent. Our adult children had superior rooms which they highly rated. Hotel staff great, fondue in featured restaurant very popular- although we chose to dine out. Make sure you ask reception for travel passes - free ferry, bus, tram travel in a city you need deep pockets for.

I booked the Deluxe Room, 1 King Bed. When i arrived the front desk person said i was upgraded to the junior suite for free. Room 52. Unknown to me at the time room 52 is the hottest loudest room in the entire hotel. It was 95 degrees in the room and in the room next to mine was a family with a constantly crying baby, which i could hear clearly with my room door closed and my tv on. It seemed like every 10 minutes a hotel worker would go through a service door, slam it shut, then come back out and slam the door closed again. There was a hotel worker vacuming outside my room for almost 20 minutes at 8:30 pm. Constant noise, and the ac barely kept the room livable. I was totally scamed by the hotel when they "upgraded me for free". The breakfast buffet was terrible, most of the food had flies on it. There was a plate of raw bacon sitting out at room temperature that you could order and then they cooked it for you. It was terrible. The outside area has a large group of birds that apparently live there. Every chair had bitd droppings on them. The first day i tried to eat outside but there was a plate of food left from another guest and the birds were all over it. Absolutely disgusting. The staff were not friendly, and did not look happy to be working at this hotel. The location was good, but there are a bunch of hotels in the surrounding area. I dont think the people who rate this hotel as a "luxury hotel" have ever stayed there. I will never stay there again.

The staff and the amenities really made this hotel what it is. Additionally, there was nothing that wasn’t well-thought at this facility. Every room has a Nespresso machine, and more amenities than you would expect even from a boutique hotel. The rooms are beautiful and well-designed, the lobby has gorgeous private rooms where I could conduct a few business calls while on vacation with my family, and the overall thought and meaning behind the name East West Hotel really stands out here. The gentlemen in the lobby are second to none. They were always happy to assist with luggage, hydration, or a dinner recommendation. It’s hard to find people who are this refined with every skill necessary. The lady at breakfast was sweet and accommodating for me and my family. Don’t skip out on the breakfast here, either! We’ll see you next year!

Really nice little boutique hotel. The junior suite was spacious and was better than the 5star hotels we stayed in other places our previous days.

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in! East West is perfectly located just a block back from the waterfront. The hotel is beautifully decorated and smells of jasmine/orchids when you walk in. There is a large spiral stone staircase running down the centre of the hotel which made me take the stairs more often that I usually do! Amelie was a joy, she told us we’d been upgraded when we arrived and as such we enjoyed a junior suite on the top floor. The room was cosy and quirky details like leather pulls on the door and the shocking pink velvet sofa were right up our street. There were complimentary bottles of still and sparkling water in the room, refreshed every day. On arrival we were greeted with Swiss chocolate lollipops. The courtyard is beautiful and there are 2 lounges with Nespresso machines where you can enjoy coffee. A little oriental style cabinet in reception held water and mini muffins too. Breakfast was delicious and choices such as homemade pancakes and Bircher muesli made it extra special. When I return to Geneva I will stay here again, no question. Every member of staff was amazing and I literally can find no faults. Best trip!
