Radisson Blu Royal Viking Hotel, Stockholm

Underwhelming experience at the Viking. Booked this hotel for the final stay of a 21 day trip around Sweden. Was expecting more than we received. Nice to have a room upgrade however the room was noisey and the AC didnt work. Wanted to use the health facilities but they were atrocious. Luke warm sauna and death trap slippy floor. The male changing room smelt of urine too. The pool at 8:30pm was full of screaming children. So not relaxing at all. Very disappointed. First morning in the canteen, there was building works and loud drills although this stopped after someone complained. Overall disappointing, and I would have picked somewhere else to end and amazing trip to Sweden if I had known.

We had booked a family room for three persons. When we arrived in the afternoon there was only one queen bed in our room. So at about 5 pm we asked for the third bed to be made. When we came back to the hotel at 11 pm - still no third bed and also no towels for the third person. We had to ask for the bed again. No apologies from the woman I talked to at the reception. She acted as if it was perfectly normal to have to ask for a third bed twice for a three bedroom booking. When towels were changed two days later - again we had to ask for the third set of towels. Every morning at breakfast we had to ask for coffee - staff walking by not once asked "Can I get you coffee". Employees are unattentive, act like they could not care less about customers. Don't expect to get a smile, either. Some exceptions though, for example staff at the rooftop bar. The location of the hotel is great and the rooms are nice. Problem seems to be the management and the training of the employees. Having said that - good service seems to be hard to find in Stockholm in general.

Great girls get away with my sister and niece. The junior suite comfortably fits 3 adults. And the breakfast was so so so good.

took my bag of laundry by midtake but never acknowledged until someone cane to check my room. disgusting behavior. i finally got the manager to solve this by asking me to get few items and they will pay. so far 4 days after nothing and i just checked out. an email was not returned. rude and cold prople. tiny family room tiny shower

Disappointed that we arrived and pool was unavailable as was the gym. Then we were told rooftop bar was closed until New Year’s Eve. When we went there staff were very average. Also know that the bar is run independently but the lady in the bar (young blonde lady) was extremely rude to my kids when they arrived back with desserts. We spent a lot of mo yep there so to be treated like that I feel it was appalling. Overall really disappointed.

hotel rooms but very bad 3. bed in our family room. Not fit for sleeping in with very thin madras so the springs are sticking in your back. Nice staff - but a bit snobby attitude in the restaurant from waiter. We wanted to eat dessert and coffee there but where told to go sit in the bar. Did not want to be in the bar full of people drinking since we are a family with kids. (The restaurant only had 4 guest so lots a free tables). Also not a very friendly attitude from the porter (guy who handles luggage)
