Hotel Hospes Puerta de Alcalá

This boutique hotel was just what the doctor ordered: plenty of TLC. We spent 7 lovely nights here the last week in May. The staff was very attentive. Special kudos to Jamie, whose recommendations were all right on target. We arrived at the hotel very early, about 11:15am local time. We were able to check in about 1:00pm. In the meantime, we were able to relax in the Relaxation Room (thanks, Jaime). Breakfast buffet, although pricey, was exquisite for our first morning. Lots of gourmet choices. More reasonable options located nearby (thanks, Jaime). Deluxe room was comfy, although two windows offered no view to speak of. Bed was especially comfortable, with luxurious sheets and pillows. Sensone restaurant attached to hotel was very good, especially for drinks/dessert after a day of touring. Thanks to Jaime, we received a huge, complimentary bowl of fruit for our anniversary. Overall, the hotel was very nice, and is great for couples (also singles and families, too).
