Very spacious and modern junior suite with an extremely comfortable bed! Good breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff. Only disappointment was the roof bar being closed.

The main reason for choosing Room Mate Oscar for us is always that it is so central. You can walk to a lot of musuems, shopping areas and restaurants. However the hotel itself offers spacious junior suites which we always like and very confortable beds, spacious showers. The roof garden is nice for having a coffee late afternoon or drinks in the evening.

Staff was very and amazing. Spoke English no problem. Only two complaints or suggestions I guess. Pool was nice on roof but unusable as it was almost freezing temperatures everyone who attempted to enter quickly jumps out. They should at least let it warm up to a natural or bearable temperature they have to be pumping ice cold water in to remain that temperature during the heat there. Really a shame the best part of hotel completely useless. Other suggestions is toilets are size for children they should put in elongated ones for normal to large size people and move toilet paper holders

We made last-minute changes to our flights due to potential weather flying home and stayed one night at Room Mate Oscar in Madrid. We know Madrid, having vacationed here five or six times, usually staying in an amazing penthouse apartment on Funcarral, but for one--or a few nights--this is a great location. It is close to both the shopping on Gran Via, the Chueca gay neighborhood, and the Gran Via Casino. We were offered an upgrade to a junior suite for only 20 euros upon arrival and were surprised and grateful that we were able to get into our room early--before noon--after an early morning flight from Bologna. The suite was a little weird with a strange custom blue-green stuffed furniture around the king size bed which had harem-esque beads hanging from the ceiling. It didn't really offer any good seating to watch the TV other than laying in bed and there weren't even two proper chairs or a couch and coffee table had we wanted to order room service and eat in the room, just one stool available by the section of the strange piece of furniture that was counter height. The shower was incredible though, and the corner room had huge windows on two walls so you could watch the neighbors come out on their balconies to smoke.
