Hotel Emperador

I don't know if i had bad luck but this was the worse i had my friends and family buy the same room same day together and they got a upgrade room with a view to the city i had a view to A/C unit in a close alley, room smell like humidity every time we enter we smell i think it was the old rug in the room it paper thing walls, I could hear everyone next door and across, no outlet or converter in the room we had to buy one. We request multiple times if we could be changed they didn’t have any other room available this was it. I don’t think this was a VIP at all not even close to a regular stay probably the worse i had so far in spain. It was terrible

My family and I always stay at Hotel Emperador when we are in Madrid. We love how convenient it is and how amazing the staff is.

Overall; Great hotel, nice pool and reasonable room. In details: Room is okay. Not much of a view (as in staring into a wall), but it worked alright for us. Good enough size for two. Location is good and the area feels safe. Close enough to many attractions so almost everything is walkable. No noise from the street despite quite at bit of traffic. We were on 3 floor. Rooftop pool and bar is very good. Not a cheap bar, but nice drinks and a lovely view with lots of space. Pool is not for young children though, as it is very deep in most areas. 135 cm in the shallow end and very quickly rising. Pool opens at 10.00. Music is being played all around the rooftop, for our taste a bit too loud. Lots of chairs though, sun, shade and beds, and good service from most of the staff. Keycard is used for both escalator and rooms. Caused some minor issues during our stay, but overall worked fine. We will without a doubt return if ever to visit Madrid again.

Great hotel in the heart of Madrid. Great location and easy walk to all the main attractions: Palace, Sol, Plaza Major, Mercato San Miguel, Austrian quarter. Metro right outside. Big rooms, clean and very friendly staff. The rooftop terrace and pool are amazing. Spent many an afternoon relaxing while the kids payed in the pool. Thank you for a great stay Hotel Emperador!
