Hotel Barcelona Apolo, Affiliated by Meliá

Excellent hotel but the guests are amongst the most bizarre I’ve ever experienced. Taking hour long phone calls in the hallway. Letting kids run around the halls at like 1am. No fault of the hotel at all but you just wonder what is wrong with people

Really great location and value for staying in Barcelona. Highly recommend for the price. Only downside was our room wasn't ready until after check-in time at 4pm, but they offered us a complimentary drink at the bar while we waited and were very apologetic. Would stay here again and recommend to friends and family.

June 2024 We had a WONDERFUL stay here! The location was great for us since we used metro and the bus. Some had mentioned to be careful of the area but honestly I believe that’s everywhere. We loved that metro was literally outside the hotel door. This was our first time in Spain. Barcelona is an incredible city! The location was beyond super! The hotel was clean and comfortable. Get the breakfast. So worth it. With a family of 4, with two adult sons, we looked forward everyday to their breakfast. The two connecting rooms worked perfect for us. The AC worked great. Elevators are big. The shower heads were amazing! I want one for my home! Beds were comfy too. A few restaurants nearby. Would definitely recommend staying here, and we would love to come back.

Great location and super comfortable hotel. Accommodating to families.

We stayed for one night before going on our first mediterranean cruise, staff were so friendly and professional. On arrival they gave us a free upgrade to our room, which was amazing. They organised a taxi for the next day to take us to the port. I would recommend this hotel to family and friends

This hotel is beautiful and the buffet breakfast is the best I've ever had in a hotel. The rooms are clean and the complimentary mini bar is a bonus that my kids were thrilled with.

Traveled with 2 kids 9 and 11. We received a big room with seperate small room with bedsofa. Hotel offers complemtary minibar and bike rental service. Except the view from the room the hotel is great.

Excellent hotel, can not fault it. Spent 5 nights for a family holiday. Great location with underground metro station just outside. Isn’t in a tourist area, but is safe and has great accessibility to the tourist sites and beach. Olympic park and cable cars is short hill climb away. Rooms clean and spacious, complimentary juice and water, mini fridge, tea/coffee facilities, bathroom was modern, luxurious and well maintained. Breakfast was fabulous, every type of food you can imagine, omelettes made to order and lovely open-air dining area, which we also used for playing cards and drinking in the late evening. The air conditioning throughout the hotel was functional and effective making for pleasant relaxation and sleep. A sanctuary from the heat and humidity of a busy days sight seeing. Reception desk staff were helpful and polite and no enquiry too much trouble. Only thing it misses is perhaps a pool, but would probably be twice the price if had this, and beach is only 10 minute bus journey away and leaves from outside hotel. Also taxi rank in adjacent side street with only 30 Euro charge to airport (don’t pay the holiday transfers). Thank you to all the staff for a great stay, we definitely recommend this hotel. Seriously… can not fault it!

The hotel is hip and modern. The room was very nice and recently remodeled. The amenities in the hotel are very nice. We really enjoyed the brunch type breakfast and really recommend it. The hotel is busy and lively and the location to a Metro stop makes getting anywhere easy. We walked to La Ramblas, about a 10 minute walk, and from there is as very easy to access all the sights downtown Barcelona. I would recommend this hotel and we saw young families, young people and all nationalities.
