Hotel HCC Lugano

The first impression on entering the hotel was the genuine friendliness and warmth emanating from the professional reception staff. The hotel is clean modern and awash with cool classy marble! If you like a top notch Ibis hotel this is even better by far than. We visit Barcelona quite often due to family and always search for the optimum hotel and I feel we’ve found it now!

ease of parking was great on arrival, its underground and right beside the hotel entrance so you cannot miss it. Check in was fine, we arrived very late and the lady behind the desk was very friendly. Room was very clean although the decor was not to our taste. The Room was very noisy, we could hear every car in the street and the baby in the room next door crying, you could actually make out word for word what the parents were saying. The biggest problem was a super uncomfortable bed. The next day we asked to be moved to another room because of the noise but were told there is only 6 rooms in the whole hotel with double beds and they all faced the street. The lady was quite rude to my girlfriend and at one stage started laughing at her. We ended up staying in the same room. Breakfast selection was good, as long as you don't want a hot breakfast. Hot foods were limited to small sausages and scrambled eggs. The cold selection was fine, and the restaurant was very pleasant. Each day there was only one member of staff who was very nice but seemed to be over worked. We paid a very expensive price for a mediocre stay. I am very disappointed
