Novotel Barcelona Cornella

Great place with friendly staff. We only staid one night in transit but the experience was very good. Breakfast was a hit for the kids.

Staff were quite abrupt at time and on a few occasions openly rude (eye rolls and a lack of motivation to help out) Didn’t seem to want to chat with us as we don’t speak Spanish. It felt like we were less welcome than the Spanish guests actually. Staff were unable to organise a taxi for us to the airport. The pizza obviously came from a shop bought freezer pack - awful. The French fries were really good. Although clearly aimed at families with children, the restaurant inexplicably doesn’t open until 7:30pm! We had to go out to eat after a long day of travelling.

Great stop over for a few days before a cruise. Excellent facilities and close to shopping centres, lots of shops and restaurants close by too. Staff lovely and great with kids.

Fun for kids

Our family spent 4 weeks traveling across western Europe, visiting 9 countries and this was our last night before flying back to the US. It was refreshing to arrive at a hotel that had all the amenities you expect to find in a standard, mid-range hotel in the U.S. AC, In room coffee, Fridge, bar and restaurant on property, etc. Plus it was impeccably clean and modern. The best part was when I first walked into the lobby after a 20 hour ferry ride from Rome that was an exercise in torture. (details in another review) I was exhausted, grumpy, and needed a shower badly. I had not taken 3 steps into the building before a very warm and friendly woman approached me with a huge smile and welcomed me. The check in process was very welcoming, a handshake and key delivery with no check in desk separating us and the woman who greeted me was so kind and cheerful at changed my whole demeanor. After such a long trip and the final part being a hell cruise across the Med., we badly needed a clean, US-style hotel and this one delivered on all of it. I cannot say enough to praise this property.

This is a fantastic hotel. We arrived in late after flight delays and were greeted by relaxed friendly staff. We grabbed a beer and chilled in the cool reception area watching the Euros. Just the tonic after a really busy day. Great for families with an excellent pool and breakfast buffet

Staff was great and had lots for kids to do and even played games in the pool area with them!

Our experience was positive from start to finish. The check-in staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were fine and accommodated our family of four. The free breakfast was certainly a bonus and was completely delicious and satisfying. There are many activities for kids on site. The taxis are constantly outside to take you to your destination. Very close proximity to the airport and cruise terminal. The only downside is that you are about a 25 euro cab away from the main attractions in Barcelona.
