If you want to avoid an overnight flight, you can simply stay in the Oryx Airport hotel which is located in the transit area of the Doha Hamad Airport. The place is quiet enough to sleep properly, only some guests arriving the whole day/night make some noise on the hallway, while the airport and planes are not hearable. The hotel also offers a pool and jacuzzi, which can also be used without booking a room. The only pitfall for us was, that the room was booked for 3 persons (2 adults, 1 child) and was prepared only for 2 persons, this was quickly solved by staff.

Our stay was super amazing. The beds were super comfortable, and the room was generous in size. It was exactly what we needed as a family after a long flight, before catching another very long flight to San Francisco. Whoever thought of the huge rain shower deserves A++++++++. The staff were very courteous and check-in took 3 mins at most. Thank you very much Oryx Hotel.

The check in and check out process was very easy. The family room (for my husband, 2 teenagers and me) was very comfortable. We wished we had more time to utilize the exercise area and swimming pool.

Travelling from Boston to India via Doha with 2 young kids was a great experience. Our initial emails with the hotel for questions and help was addressed immediately with a courteous reply. When you get out of your initial flight walk past the Transit area. The hotel elevator entrance is behind a big oriental restaurant/shop. Best thing is you check out and walk straight to your gates.
