NH Hotel Porto Jardim

Excellent room, stay and staff. The only issue was we were two families paid the same cost but our room X03 was smaller in size than X02

The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful - from check-in to check-out, and we especially appreciated our wonderful waiter, Joao, whom we very much enjoyed meeting. We are recommending your hotel to our friends and family who plan on visiting Porto in the future. Thank you!

First and foremost, I must mention the Front Desk staff, from Hugo to Inês. They were friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and always keen to help with a smile. Ranking as highly were the Dining room staff, all the Joãos, Rita, João Rolla, especially, like Tiago, were so dedicated to help and guide that it was as much à pleasure to eat and dine and drink at the hotel as in the city, if not more. Housekeeping was efficient and would never disturb, except that sometimes they'd take it upon themselves to remove the "electricity key card" in one's absence in an effort to conserve energy, but actually making things worse because the room's temperature would increase uncomfortably and require much more energy to lower the temperature than if it had been left on. In any case it should be left to the guests to decide. There's a problem with guests who don't care to dampen the sound of closing the doors to their rooms making the atmosphere full of slamming door noises that make for a difficult time in the room for others. Guests, especially American tour groups, would be perennially loud and oblivious to the chaos they leave in their wake and the hotel should do more to encourage guests to be respectful of others. Guests should learn this in childhood if not in guidebooks, but still. Overall, potential guests should be happy to book a short or longer stay here and should feel confident in doing so also because of the great location of the hotel. It's close to everything!
