The Editory Riverside Santa Apolonia

One of the most deceptive hotel advertisement. They claim on Hotels.com it 5 stars. In reality is 3 stars at best. The hotel is next to a train station where you have shading people around all the time, The enterance is behind a bus stop with NO (not small) lobby just a small front desk, You can only sit down for a a quite conversation or call in a noisy resturant with old broken down furniture. the Hotel had only 1 elevator working. for the whole two week we were there they continued to only have one very slow elevator. We booked a "junior suite" with river view. What we got was less than average room, nothing like the website picture with a view of delapitated warehouses used for homeless people to sleep at night. The bathroom is dangerously slippary (no mates althou we asked). The bathroom had no supplies (unlike every 5 star I've ever stayed in) with the exception of liquid soap and three types of shower caps. The front reception is trained to lie to defend against disappointed guests. I witnesses them say the same line against similar complaints with different guests at least three time. The aircondiioning at its highest could'nt cope with 30degree outside and the room was like an oven. please see pictures below of the "5 star hotel. Because we paid upfront, they refused to refund us.

Was lovely, welcome team were very helpful and gave great advice. Only annoyance as asking for and getting an iron was like asking for a kidney. We were promised one but only received an ironing board and a very stern no when we called reception for the iron, so our trip was just us walking around in creased clothing :) - also, our room wasn't cleaned on the second day for some reason - still no idea why. Otherwise, the hotel is lovely, location is convenient and the staff were lovely.
