Sapientia Boutique Hotel

Perfect place to stay. University of Coimbra is right next door. It had lots of space for our family of 3 adults. The decor is all about books. The rooftop patio on the 6th floor had a great view. We found parking easy in front of the hotel. Pay attention to the details of how to avoid narrow streets leaving. It involves ringing a button to take an interior street. It’s worth it as the streets will not fit many cars. The restaurant was wonderful. Our waiter, Joel, was fabulous and told us so many cool things about Portuguese food. We will definitely stay here again.

Perfection. Everything about this hotel is just right. Our room was the junior suite. Lots of space, great bed and bathroom. Lots of nice extras. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Parking can be confusing for a foreigner and they were so patient and helpful. Great location steps from the University.

We loved our stay! It was in a great location and within walking distance to many great sites. The rooms were large (we had a junior suite), comfortable and clean. The staff was excellent! We were only here for one night but I would highly recommend it!

The hotel Itself is lovely. Modern minimalist with a touch of art and funk. Great bar and the staff was kind. Our junior suite was impeccable with all the amenities needed and more. Bed was a bit firm but comfortable enough. The unfortunate issue was us not knowing that coming to Coimbra this this particular week was their University graduation and a week long of night concerts which meant no sleep - literally for the 2 nights we were there. This is not the hotels fault but we were not happy and not we’ll after not sleeping for two days. Moral of the story, do research to understand what events are happening in the area before booking. If you are a light sleeper avoid this part of Coimbra during events bc Sound travels and ear plugs didn’t help.

Great boutique hotel in super location to walk around the area. Staff was helpful, though had a couple newbies that were a bit in need of training (but good kids!).

Fantastic stay. Great for children. Friendly staff. Good breakfast and dinner (did not have an opportunity to stay for lunch). Fantastic location next to the University of Coimbra.
