Rizal Park Hotel

The property was pretty on the outside. The rooms were average. Workers were nice. Location was terrible. So much homelessness and poverty surrounding the area that’s just tragic. Didn’t feel unsafe but prepare for families, including children sleeping outside with no shoes. It was heart wrenching.

Things were ok until the day we checked out. My wife's family stayed with us at the hotel but in a different hotel room. We are at the check out desk and I am informed that 80 dollars of the 200 dollar deposit is going to be used to pay for a stain on a bed sheet. I asked what stain and the staff bring an old looking sheet cover with appears to have orange soda spilled on it. The staff said that they scrubbed it and were unable to remove the stain. My sister-in-law proceeds to use diaper wipes to try and remove the stain that the staff said is impossible to get off and that they used all their strength to try and scrub it off but with just wipes, my sister-in-law was able to remove the stain. Yes, you heard me right! With no soap, just plain diaper wipes the stain came off! These people are just a bunch of crooks trying to steal from its customers. Beware, do not stay here! I will never make the mistake of staying there again next time that I visit the Philippines.

It was more than we have expected. The hotel is small but gorgeous. My teens and I love its classic feels. Our room is awesome, bed and pillows are comfy and the bathroom is big enough for us. All the staff are polite and kind especially those in Cafe Rizal. We will definitely come back and recommend the hotel to family and friends.
