Crowne Plaza Panama Airport, an IHG Hotel

Friendly enough at reception and check-in but no explanation of where the lifts and dining areas were located. Two towels in the room despite us being a family of four who booked a family room and checked in. Called reception desk from the room to request two more towels and was promised they would be brought up but towels never arrived. Terrible food for dinner - little black flies hovering over the salad bar. My daughter ordered spaghetti bolognaise but found it inedible especially after finding a long hair in her 3rd mouthful. No waiting staff came to check on us during the meal despite the restaurant being quiet that evening. I explained when our plates were finally cleared, the manager was sent over but I was still charged full price for that meal and not offered anything or even an apology. No shampoo in shower - again no apology when I mentioned it or any attempt to sort the issue out. Room was basic and clean. As it’s close to the airport, this hotel has a captive market and seems to not care too much about customer service unlike everywhere else we stayed at in Panama.

I booked this hotel for our daughter her husband and their 2 children one month before they needed it. They could hear the planes at night because of their location, but generally their one night stay went well. The shuttle didn't work out beause they don't run often enough but the taxi got them there. Thankyou Crown Plaza for being so convenient.

Comfortable beds, good gym, good breakfast, excellent staff. This hotel has magnificent potential. However the hotel is very stingy, only provided two very low quality towels for a family of 3. One airport shuttle every hour is insufficient, the airport is very close, the shuttle is always packed and te driver is always waiting around.

It was terrible because they cancelled our reservation. Our flight arrived late, when we went to check in at 230am with an 11 month old baby, they said our reservation was cancelled because we didn’t show up. I made the reservation from 27-28of sept and I arrived the 28th at 230am, was going to pay for both days anyways. I had to go search for another hotel in the middle of the night with my baby.

The hotel management frown upon bringing in outside food and a family is looking to sit in the lobby tables to eat at 11:30pm when there is no one around. They let us eat but it was weird. Room AC was sketchy. Shuttle pick up is every hour on both to and from hotel. So there is a possibility to waiting an hour if you miss the airport pick up. The way back to the airport was smooth, security was quick. Not a bad hotel, but know some of the nuances.

Do not eat at this place.I stayed on this property for one night on June 25, 2022 with my husband and two kids, and while we where serving our food, we saw a live mouse running in the buffet area and then hidding under the table where the bread and soup was located. We notified the personel of the hotel, but how you could eat after seing a rodent running on a buffet area. No to mention that I was still charged for the dinner.

We are a family of five who spent a night here because we had to catch an early flight the next day. We have young kids and had to get up at 5am so we went to bed at 9pm. At 10:30pm a maid knocked on the door and immediately proceeded to let herself into our room, waking everyone up and giving my wife and kids a good scare. I jump out of bed and asked her to leave. My Spanish isn’t good enough that I could understand why she came in - don’t know why you would just walk into a room at that time. When it was time to get up in the morning the fire alarm started to go off. We were already up and on our way out, but must have sucked for everyone else.
