My family and I stayed for one night. When we got to the room, towels were missing, and a piece of the roof in the shower fell on me while I was in the shower.

We left a day early it was that bad. No hot water in the room. No washclothes or hand towels in the room. The kids pool looked like it had a strange bubbly film covering it. The food was the only thing that was pretty decent. You can tell this hotel is not the hotel it once was when it was run by Radisson 10 years ago (based on the pictures). It looks run down now.

A number of things bothered me. - no hand towels or wash cloths in the bathroom. - need second trash can in main living area. - no desk chair for using computer. - elevators close too fast and don’t open when an obstacle is in place. - water never gets hot in shower. - food in restaurant overpriced and always overcooked. - all of the outdoor pool seating is around children’s pool (annoying). - ran out of certain foods at breakfast (yogurt, scrambled eggs). - bathroom sink initially backed up but eventually worked properly. - for over $100/night, I would expect better amenities and housekeeping. You won’t be a five-star hotel anytime soon, and I don’t think we’ll be returning anytime soon.

Pretty decent resort for a family stay. Place was comfortable, although could use a few updates and/or a refresh. The pool was great for little kids and the organized tours were lots of fun. Tour guides were great!! Staff were mostly friendly.

The hotel was located in a beautiful location. Unfortunately my family and I was unsatisfied with the condition of the rooms. We rented two rooms one room the shower did not drain and the other room had a leak in the crawling. When we told front desk they said they would have someone check on it and no one did. Left the hotel with the same conditions.

It was in a pretty spot, looking out over the rainforest. And has everything you basically need. But. It wasn’t anything fantastic. Pros: - the man who gave us the golf cart safari was fantastic - kids loved the pool - beds were comfy - half the staff were incredibly nice - nice jungle trail. A sloth and some butterflies. Cons - most of the men working the bar were incredibly rude and wouldn’t even attempt to talk to you. (And we know a little bit of Spanish) - it took (legitimately) 75 minutes to get a small pizza and a bowl of curly fries at the restaurant - the door to our balcony was terrible and need to be forced open by my husband - no hot water - the more interesting pool and area surrounding was closed our entire stay - the location of food changed constantly and it was hard to figure out - claims to be a 4 star hotel but in USA standards I would say it’s more like a 2. - not allowed to see the butterflies unless you do a tour It was fine. We enjoyed our time because we always make the best of things but. I wouldn’t personally stay there again.

Nice stay but we got a very strange baby crib with blankets as matrass. Also the food options are quite limited and the breakfast is quite limited. But nice location and nice on site tours

We really liked the location in the rainforest and that it was accessible to the Discovery Centre, Soberania National Park and other wildlife areas. The wildlife and birds at the hotel were wonderful. Unfortunately, when we checked in there was very little information about the grounds or surrounding areas. The Summit Botanical Gardens and Zoo are located just five minutes away by car and has an amazing aviary for the Harpy Eagle. It is linked to the Smithsonian and the animals and birds are primarily rescued. Some are rehabilitated and returned to the wild. Those that cannot return to the wild are cared for at the park, like the Harpy Eagle that was confiscated from a community in the Darien. This is not a zoo it is a wildlife centre for the preservation, research and saving species from extinction. Some of the enclosures are small but many of the animals are not there for long. With support these areas can be improved. This is a great place to take children and lots of space for family picnics.
