Mövenpick Hotel Wellington

Movenpick is really a best place to stay as they have an awesome Restaurant with an affordable buffet breakfast with lots of options as well as the room service. The amenities like the gym, swimming pool and sauna are truly awesome, functional and beneficial. The 4pm choco fountain was also awesome treat for us. We will highly recommend this to our family and friends. We will definitely come back again whenever we stay in Wellington.

We stayed two nights in a Family Suite and loved every single second! Even before our arrival I was impressed by the amazing service - we were attending an event so checking in late (right on our toddlers bed time) so I called ahead and Katie on reception had made sure the portacot was already made up in our room and all the comforts we needed were organised and even gifted our toddler the cutest Kea soft toy. Checkin and car valet were seamless and quick. Our Family Suite was modern, spacious and comfortable - individual climate control in each room, comfortable bedding, blackout curtains, windows that opened slightly on safety locks. We couldn’t have been happier with our room. The room service menu is vast and restaurant quality, quick to order via QR code or phone call. Highlights of the facilities for us included the indoor pool, Kids Retreat Room, daily free chocolate hour, the food and the amazing service and staff. This hotel is located in a very quick area of the city fringe, we didn’t hear any noise from outside and found it very easy to commute from. Can’t wait to come back and stay again thank you Movenpick Wellington. We have also previously stayed at the Auckland Movenpick Hotel and the service and quality is just superb, well done to your staff. Thank you again ~ Candice M & Family

excellent location for our family. the chocolate happy hour is a winner for everyone.

Excellent hotel for family. Kids get to play in the kids room, as well as the heated pool. Pleasant service and everything is good. But if you’re walking to the hotel from main shopping area, such as Cuba Street, expect a bit of a challenge when walking up the hill, in particular carrying a suitcase.

Luxury Break Away - perfect for our family!

It was nice that had happy hour for chocolate. The restaurant had nice food. The kids play area room was good. The pool wasn't that warm, thats why I had booked it. The location wasnt that close to some things.

Highly recommend this fantastic hotel, everything was immaculate. Our room looked new and was very clean and quiet apart from noises from our neighbours in the room next door. We could hear them talking quite clearly and baby crying till late. Another guest, clearly very unwell, our TV volume went up to give him privacy. It may just have been that we had a room with an interconnecting door. We would ask for an alternative room next time. All the staff were so friendly and welcoming, especially car valet service. The restaurant was also excellent. Really not a fan of the glass bathroom door in our room though! Whoever thought that was a good idea? With mirrors on the wardrobe doors, reflecting to the person in the room, there was zero privacy for the person using the bathroom. I was staying with my teenage daughter so we got resourceful and found a way to drape towels over the shower door and leave the shower door open blocking the glass bathroom door. Also opening the wardrobe doors so they weren't reflecting to the rest of the room what was happening in the bathroom. Also leaving the bathroom light off to get privacy. Some frosting on the glass bathroom door could solve the issue or why not a proper door? Other than that, we found our room was spacious and warm, very comfy for 5 nights.
