My experience regrettably was not great. Firstly the hotel, like all hotels during the 'Snow Machine' winter festival, increased its room rate by about 75% to take advantage of the Aussie revellers. I can understand that, but for that week there was no effort to control the noise by drunk youngsters returning back in the early hours of the morning, so those of us that paid the hiked up rates despite having no interest in the fewtival and paying a lot of money to go sking, had to put up with completely unacceptable noise and disruption at all hours of the night. I had one occasion where partygoers thought it would be a great idea to slide one of their groups passport under my door at some time around midnight, and then proceeded to bang on the door to get it back. I ignored them thinking they had the wrong room only to be called by reception asking me to look and see if there was a passport under the door in my room. I left the passport outside my room. I was woken up again at 2am by what I assume was the same group. I complained to reception about this situation ans was advised there was nothing they could do. So my advice to the hotel if the want return visitors in future is get some security during this week and enforce a strict policy prohibiting noise and disruption after hours. If I wanted to stay at a backpackers and have this kind of noise then I would have, but i did not expect this from a expensive hotel. It is very disappointing.

Amazing stay. The staff were so helpful and went the extra mile to ensure we had a wonderful stay. They set up a cot for our baby very quickly, and even left her a wee teddy. The beds were extremely comfortable and the rooms warm and quiet in an excellent location. Could not fault our experience.

Interesting place. We liked it. Close to few amenities and supermarket, not crazy like Queenstown CBD. Rooms don't have microwave or cutlery, or stove, which are key for a family like we are. Probably would stay elsewhere just due to that next time, but otherwise is nice and newish.
Just make sure you tell them to clean the room - ours was never cleaned for our stay of 2 nights (they came at 5 pm when we were back so a no go obviously).

Loved this property! Especially liked the vanity sensor lights at night! Would have loved a two bedroom room, but the kids didn’t mind sharing the double bed.

We (family of 4) loved our short stay at Sudima Five Mile. It's a beautiful modern complex with a high standard of service and cleanliness. The beds were spacious and super comfortable. The mountain views are breathtaking (esp snow covered) and we loved the buffet breakfast - a great way to fuel up before a big day on the mountain. The hotel is literally within the large Frankton shopping area so it's like a mini city break will everything walking distance. We highly recommend dining at Tanoshi - the Japanese restaurant on the ground floor just as you enter the hotel.
We will not hesitate to stay at Sudima Five Mile again.

Very friendly check in staff, gave my toddler a Sudima teddy bear which she loves. Thank you. The kiosk where you can check in & out is very convenient and easy to use, took about 5minutes to check in. The room we had was very clean and had comfortable beddings, we had asked for a bassinet which was already set up when we entered the room. Breakfast buffet was wonderful. Hotel location is very nice, surrounded by many shops, restaurants and supermarkets. Thank you will book here again when we return to Queenstown!

If you're looking for modern accommodation in proximity to lots of amenities, Sudima Queenstown Five Mile should definitely be on your list of accommodation considerations.
Despite being located almost a stone's throw from the Queenstown Airport, we barely heard a noise during our stay. The rooms are decently sized, with enough room for you to move about it. The beds were the most comfortable we slept on during our New Zealand holiday. We also appreciated the family-friendliness of the staff and facilities; there was a room dedicated to kids' entertainment (with parental supervision required for children of a certain age).
Sudima is located within the Five Mile shopping precinct, and there are some great shops to be explored. The location felt safe enough for us to walk around, day or night. There are also a number of dining options nearby should you choose not to eat at the in-house restaurant.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.
We would certainly stay here again.

Fresh, clean, conveniently located near shopping and restaurants. Wish we could extend our stay. Great stay for our small family and we weren’t the only ones there. Thoughtful touches as far as morning drinks.

We had a two bedroom room. Was spacious and perfect for two adults and two kids. Central to five mile with a great restaurant inside as well as well surrounding. Thank you for having us!
