Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam - Sloterdijk Station, an IHG Hotel

Hotel staff was very polite. You will find soft spoken beautiful ladies in the hotel reception. :) Room is neat and clear, WIFI was very good. Room has queen bed which is good for couple but if you have child then this bed is not spacious and you have to adjust with bit discomfort. Hotel is adjacent to Sloterdijk station which is its main advantage. Other hotels are bit far. It is very convenient to take train from Sloterdijk to Amsterdam Centraal which is just one station and 5 minutes distance by train.

Everythings seem to be ok for 4 Stars hotel except security issues. On first night, there was fault fire alarm around 10pm and got all guest in panic but there is no English language announcement so we do not know what happened. I was with my family group with older people , walking down from 7th floor was not fun. Got to reception and found out that it was fault alram cause by someone push the bottom. But hotel has no announement after known the issues ...let all guest in doubt and panic and ask each other.! 2nd night is worse, as someone access to my brother room at 6am but was protected by secure lock. I went to talk to duty manager and got to know that their staff made mistake give a key card to other people (the saide other guess) . What happen with large brand hotel chain? What if we did not use secure lock and someone come in while we arw sleeping. This is unacceptable mistake. Few point that seem to be little compare to above issues are no refill for hand soup, no clean coffe cup tyat are minor for me. I do not know if this just me that got a bad luck in this big name hotel .
