Pension Homeland

Really quirky hotel around 20 minute walk into central Amsterdam. We stayed as a family of 3. The rooms are a little small, dated and there isn’t any aircon, but they do provide a fan. So the room was quite warm. We had dinner from the downstairs restaurant. My steak was lovely but my husbands vege burger wasn’t that nice. Staff were lovely and helped us with anything we needed.

Excellent choice to visit with family

Kind of quirky. Excellent helpful staff. Loved the brewery on site and green space right outside the door. The room was spacious. The bathroom too. We booked the family room and all 4 of us had plenty of space. While set away from the crowded area, there were many different things well within walking distance. Close to public transportation if you'd prefer. A nice restaurant and a game room are part of the complex. And there's a resident cat! I loved this place and would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at Pension Homeland as part of our tour of Europe with friends and family. This is a great hotel that is located in a great spot next to the maritime museum and in front of the water. The staff are the greatest that we came across all of Europe. The hotel has its old charm, really a place that will make you relax with the atmosphere. There is nothing modern there, which says with the name of the hotel itself. That is where its beauty lies, you will immediately love the place if you are on vacation. The place is full of locals who come to the restaurant, to swim in the water in front of the hotel. Unlike other hotels we stayed, you feel like you are a local because everyone around you is local. It is a completely different experience that you must stay and feel what we felt.
