4 out of 5 stars

Family of four, stayed in two rooms for a week. The rooms were comfortable, clean, modern with great view and private balcony. We were on the third floor and liked being elevated for extra privacy and quiet. The hotel is brand new so still being worked on but not in any way that is disturbing - mostly finish work. The staff was great! Friendly, helpful, etc. The lobby area is beautiful. The pool is nice and the portion that isn’t right in front of any rooms is shaded most of the day. The beach is not a swimmable sand beach. It is very rocky, even out at the end of the dock. We went to beach clubs further south to enjoy playing in the waves. That said, we had a strong onshore wind all week with LOTS of seaweed - two things that impacted the entire area and beyond anyone’s control. Regardless, the sound, sight, and smell of the ocean was beautiful. We had breakfast included with our reservation, which we enjoyed. There are just a few other food options along the dirt road, so it was a great way to fuel up before headed out to cenotes, beach, ruins, etc. The included meal is for two courses. The food was quite good. We had dinner there once. It was okay and expensive for kids. We did not have lunch or sit at the bar. The bar is small and we rarely saw people congregated there. Manati cenote (aka, Casa Cenote or Manatee Cenote) just across the street is a beautiful, affordable, mangrove cenote. We snorkeled.
