144 rooms and only 12 chairs by the pool. They never pick up the towels after people leave. Clean pool towels are rare. Have to find someone to get them. Pool is cleaned once a day. Scum is floating in the corners, cups by the pool are rarely picked up. No outside bar to sit at. Asked for a 1:30pm late check out. Was locked out of our room after 12pm. They checked on at our room and asked when we were leaving, told them about the late check out. They said ok. Now they are calling us and saying we need to leave 30 min early. Kids club was horrible. Ms Maggie Showed up late everyday. Did very minimal, canceled half the agenda daily. Had to pick up kids at 1pm because her lunch was a 2pm, House keeping has been great! Fernando at door has been great. Wish the desk was better!

Excellent staff. Excellent food. You may want do the all inclusive deal since the food at the restaurant is gourmet and therefore expensive if paying out of pocket. We did the all inclusive and enjoyed the food. The food in the restaurants is much better than the average all inclusive food you would get at other all inclusive resorts. We were a family of 6 including grandparents. Everyone had a great relaxing time. The restaurant staff was above and beyond accommodating.

I stayed here for a week with my husband and two teenage kids. It was a wonderful family vacation. This hotel is beautiful. The views are phenomenal. The staff remembered our names and made us feel special. The room was a good size even with 4 people. Again, I can't say enough about the views... Snorkeling right outside the hotel was amazing. There were so many tropical fish! We can't wait to go back.

The good news is that this hotel is in Cozumel, so the view is amazing, the snorkeling is fantastic, the staff is wonderful and the location is good too, the bad news is that there's not enough amenities for the amount of guests that can stay here, there's not enough room on the beach or beach towels, the restaurant is not large enough to keep a little distance between all the kids that were in on the week we were there, overall this is a good hotel, maybe overpriced when compared to Cozumeleño, Playa Azul just down the street from Westin or Presidente intercontinental on the south side of the island. Visit Cozumel and try this place, you may love it or hate it, we wont be going back but the staff was great.

My mom and I just returned from our trip to Cozumel and stayed at the Westin. While the property is gorgeous, there are shortcomings to it. First, there’s only 3 places to eat and they are all expensive. If you choose to do all inclusive at the time of the arrival at the check in desk, it would cost $850 for 2 people for 4 days to eat and drink. The restaurants lack in menu variety and we were shocked to find how expensive everything is. We opted out of the plan and took a cab into town and bought some food from the supermarket that was quick and easy. It saved us a lot of money. In addition, most of the staff does not speak English well and it was hard for us to understand them and then us. The beach is beautiful and the waters are gorgeous, but it’s fairly small and there aren’t a lot of beach chairs. Prepare to wake up early to grab chairs, even in December. The rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable. We had the junior suite and it was plentiful. Overall, I wouldn’t Call this hotel true Westin quality. It’s more of Marriot quality with expensive Westin prices. Be prepared to spend a lot of money here if you don’t do the all inclusive plan and plan to be bored of the menu and food options. I think next time we will choose a true all inclusive hotel. While the staff was nice and tried their best to help us with stuff, I don’t think we will be back.

The Westin Cozumel is an amazing hotel located directly on the ocean! They have an adults only rooftop pool with full bar, as well as another huge family pool that looks over the beautful blue green waters of the Caribbean. Their chef at the Las Gaviotas Restaurant, where you can sit outside and see the fish right through the clear ocean, must be a 5 star chef! The food there is absolutely amazing and rhe service is impeccable! Their hotel lobby is beautiful with a huge oblong floor centerpiece that is full of water, yet doesn't overflow!. It's puzzling in its beauty! Every room has a breathtaking ocean view! Maid service was great, too! However, unless you are a huge drinker and big eater, I wouldn't buy the "all inclusive". At $200/person/day, my daughter and I could never eat or drink that much. After 5 days and 4 nights and charging breakfasts, lunches, room service and a few drinks, our bill still came to under $400 total! Also there's a restaurant directly across the street called "The Original Lobster House" and it was delicious. You pick out your lobster! The key lime pie there is better than the Keys! The outside concierge at the Westin is fantastic as well. If you need a taxi to go into town , it's about $7 or $8 US dollars. They will get you a cab in minutes! From the rooftop pool to snorkeling, to the Spa and the excellent food,, the Cozumel Westin is the very best hotel in Cozumel, hands down!

Check in was a breeze, make sure you download a currency converter app. The food was decent, drinks not so much. This resort is great for solo and family travelers, I felt safe around the whole island. There is an incidental charge of $400US, so that you can order room service and things around the hotel. I don't like that the cleaning service starts at 8a, so if you are trying to rest you will be woke up everyday because they drag the furniture across the floor and they bump walls etc. just really noisy. Also at times I could hear my neighbor through the wall. All rooms face the ocean so everyone has an ocean view which is nice. I wish there was a microwave in the lobby as I had food I wanted to heat and eat later. The refrigerators need service as the 2 I tried did not cool as much as I'd like. The view is amazing and the hotel offers entertainment almost every night. There was a Mayan show and live band, so if you really don't want to leave the property you don't have too, but of course you should do an excursion or 2. The taxi ride from the hotel to downtown is $7-8US depends on which taxi driver you get from hotel to airport is around $14-16US. Be sure to check the full price of excursions as there seems to always be an extra fee once we arrived. Go to Fat Tuesday for the more tastier daquiris :)
