I recently stayed at this property and had a mixed experience. The highlight was the beautiful sandy beach with nice rolling waves, and the fact that you can borrow boogie boards for some extra beachside fun. However, one puzzling aspect was the presence of a tiger named Daisy in a cage. It was disheartening to see her pacing a lot with nothing to do; I found this to be quite unsettling. On the upside, the pool and water slides provided hours of entertainment, and they were a hit with both kids and adults alike. Unfortunately, I found the staff to be lacking in efficiency, as they often seemed to be standing around, leading to slow service. The breakfast buffet was enjoyable, and the lunch snacks were decent, with the pizza being a notable highlight. However, I can’t say the same for the dinner buffets or the restaurant. I tried Mayapan, ordered a steak, and was served a disappointingly bone that looked like what I give my dog and some mashed potatoes The rooms, especially in the back buildings, were noticeably dated, and the beds were quite uncomfortable. On the plus side, the housekeeping staff did their best to make our stay comfortable by providing some foamies to improve the bedding situation. All in all, this resort offers some enjoyable aspects, particularly if you have kids who can enjoy the pool and beach. However, the dated rooms and subpar dining experiences would make me think twice about returning.

Staff was friendly and attentive, only complaint I have is our room was not ready, we had to wait over 1:44 later. We had and early flight I had my child with me, we where hoping to get in and rest in our room by 3:00. Other than that the resort was really nice and we had an awesome time!

Was a great area but the resort was somewhat dated and very busy considering it is not high season. Very many kids and a lot of residence club members that seem to get the priority. The rooms are clean but older. The better rooms go to the members. We paid for a superior room but still got a poor view of the marina. Would probably not stay there again.

Our family of 2 adults and 2 children stayed here for 1 week. We chose the resort because it seemed to be in a nice location and claims to have everything at the resort. We just wanted to relax at the beach and have some nice meals. ROOM: outdated; nice to have the kitchen ALL INCLUSIVE: way too many rules and very limited STAFF: tried to charge me again at check-in for my prepaid option! Only a handful of them were actually helpful. FOOD: horrible! Subpar quality, poor service, understaffed, only one place had decent food SERVICE: too many bad rules, including a dress code at a low qual buffet which was the main place to eat MANAGEMENT: incompetent COMMUNICATION: most staff is not bilingual, including managers Beware that you will be hustled by their high pressure sales people from the airport to the property to buy their vacation ownership during your entire stay. Beware that they will discriminate for being American and also second-class if you are not a club owner.

This is our favorite place to stay. We've been staying here for over 25 years and visit several times a year. Our kids grew up coming here and now our grandkids are getting to experience it as well. A great place for a family vacation. Many staff members have been working here for 20 years and continue to provide great service. This property is very clean and they continue to make improvements/updates. They conveniently offer several amenities including a market/shopping mall within walking distance. We believe PV has the BEST beach in Puerto Vallarta and highly recommend this property.

This resort had many pros, a couple inconveniences and some mis advertised pieces. We overall enjoyed our stay and would consider coming back with a couple tips up our sleeve. 2 main pools: one busy loud 1; 2 large slides, activities every hour, loud music, shallow area as a seperate very shallow splash pool for young kids. Pools open until 9pm 'quiet' pool deeper (starting depth was 3.5ft; not ideal for kids. It had a covered hot tub and small slide which would have been lovely for littler kids but it was closed - likely to keep quieter. no music or activities. struggle to get a chair, let alone an umbrella up at 615 every morning to get. Never regulated - need more chairs/umbrellas. Food was good at the 2 restaurants and buffet. Theme nights on mon/wed was nice touch. Only allowed set # resos at the 2 restaurants. Sky bar was 3rd restaurant but no kids allowed so couldnt go as we have children All inclusive had limits: kids club another cost $7 for 1 hour/kid. Gym was $6 for 1.5 hours even though expedia said included. No room service; fridge not stocked and no snacks in room we had to sneak drinks and food from buffet up. Only allowed 2 drink per adult at time. Had to sign a bill every meal everywhere because many non all inclusive guests. Couldnt order directly from bar had to wait for servers. No bacon at buffet but could order from waiters. Everything was very clean, food was good, pools/activities were great but would have liked all-inclusive to feel like it.
