Holiday Inn & Suites Puerto Vallarta Marina & Golf, an IHG Hotel

We stayed for one night due to our flight situation back to US. Upon checking in we were asked to pay additional 500 some peso as we have 5 people, 2 adults and 3 kids, youngest at 9 years old. We were never asked for such additional payment in US at any other hotels, but this time the staff was adamant, we ended up opting for getting additional room for our 3 kids, at ~1600 peso. At checkout, we requested a shuttle to airport, which is very close by, like walking distance. We specifically asked how much it'd cost, the staff said it's complimentary. Yet when the driver dropped us off at the airport, he asked for 70 peso cash, yet we ran out of cash and taxi in Puerto Vallarta don't take credit cards. While these episodes are minor, they ruined your vacation mood

First of all the shower ceiling was falling apart, or probably just the paint, but who knows how much moisture and dirt from other guests was accumulated up there. Then the AC was totally out of control, we set it at 22degrees as we have a baby that cant hold the cold nor the heat. So we woke up at night to stop the unit as it was running at 19 degrees!! We changed so many times that we gave up and decided to wake up constantly at night to turn it back on/off. It wasnt a pleased night.. at all.

Near airport , they had shuttle to the airport . Free breakfast for 2 and they included our 2 kids also . The hotel has a beautiful view of the city . The hotel is clean , staff is friendly . This is our second time staying . Would definitely stay again .

We booked this property last minute after a flight delay left us stranded in town for 3 extra days. It turned out to be an excellent place for our family of 5. The property is sleek, modern, and filled with high-end finishes and amenities. The rooftop pool was the best, with excellent bar service for the adults, while also being kid- and family-friendly. The restaurant's breakfast buffet offerigns were varied and delicious, and the wait staff service was excellent as well. This hotel is a great value all-around, and turned out to be an excelletn place for our unexpected stay. We would absolutely go back for a planned visit in the future.

Lovely suite with very comfortable bed. Staff were excellent. Great place to stay with or without children.

For a Holiday Inn, this hotel was beautiful. It was incredibly clean. The beds were very comfortable. It was within a 5 minute walk from the marina. I would definitely stay here again, however, you need to know that the 5 minute walk entails a slightly nerve wrecking crossing of a busy street over 8 lanes of traffic after a walk on a very narrow dirt path (do not do this with a stroller or super young kids). There is a stop light, which helps, but there is no cross walk or pedestrian crossing light.
