Wellton Centrum Hotel & Spa

This property had a bad smell and I had to request another room and we were given a smaller room even tho I have paid for a larger room space. The room was located adjacent to the high street and it was extremely loud during night due to drunks public loitering around the hotel. Also room was extremely cold and my 12 year old child was unable to sleep. I also had to complain regarding the hot water shower in my room . This had insufficient hot water temperature and I was told by reception to use the spa showers as they have warm showers. Additionally the room size was paid for was exchanged for a smaller room due to the smell of the initial room given. - this should have been compensated back however nothing was said. Also the hotel failed clean the room for 3 night that we were staying and did not provide us with enough toilet paper. Unfortunately I am extremely disappointed with wellton centrum hotel standard in Riga. It is definitely not a 4 start hotel.

The worst experience!! We booked 4 rooms and one of them was the 2 bedroom on the top floor. The 2 bedroom was located on the 6th floor under the roof and didn’t have the A/C working. After waiting 1 hr with ac on, we called front desk and technician came by. Technician said that A/C was not working and the company needed to be called. I had 2 small kids with me and even taking all of the clothes off, it was super hot for everyone. Front desk only offered us to give us a fan.. a “FAN” when it was 30 degree celsius inside of the room. Of course, nobody could sleep there and had to rent an extra room at the near by hotel. Management was contacted and did absolutely nothing to accommodate the refund request to pay for the extra room. From this experience, i clearly understood that hotel Mgmt was aware of the broken ac and did absolutely nothing to fix it and even rented it to us. Want a room to relax - rent from near by hotels

We was travelling with my siblings, parents and with my aunt and cousin. We had family trip to celebrate my sisters birthday. Our stay was excellent. Reception/customer service was very friendly, Pleasant and helpful and we felt ourselves very welcome. They helped us with bus scheduling etc and always answered our questions very kindly. There was even surprise present to my sister at our room. Hotel was better than we expect. I’d absolutely stay here again! I absolutely warmly recommed! Very clean and comfy rooms. Also cleaning staff did very good and professional work. Breakfast very many-sided, delicious! Also recommend to book spa visit (it was 18 euros / person). Very clean and relaxing spa with pool, jacuzzi and different saunas. Remember to book spa visit beforehand. We take our spa visit to saturday 11 am and there were only 1 or 2 customers plus us. In the evening there seemed to be more rush hours at the spa, so if you like to go at quiet time, book you visit at the noon/midday. Many of thanks to all hotel staff, you made our stay perfect!

The staff wasnt rude or anything, they however lacked fundamental knowledge pertaining to service and language skills. Tried to convey our needs in English and then Russian, to no avail. Lack of information was given concerning the hotels cleaning routines (you need to actively put a green sign on the door for them to clean the room). This is the first time I've encountered such a hotel rule. The room also had an odour that required our window being open 24/7. All in all not a very clean hotel. Furthermore, we ordered an airport taxi for families with kids, but no such taxi was ordered. It was also 10 euros more than advertised. The only good thing was the breakfast. Will not recommend to friends and family.
