Very expensive area with little to do other than some bars and resturants but pretty and very clean. Nothing at all for kids other than the beach

Absolutely loved our stay. Room was perfect, staff couldn't be anymore helpful , spa was beautiful and the breakfast was possibly one of the best we have ever had. The only slight negative that may be worth mentioning if travelling with kids or go to bed early is that a room on a higher floor may be better. Our room on the second floor seemed to be just above the nightclub and the beat of the music was very loud until about 2 am . Im sure if we had said something, the hotel staff would have tried to moved us but we were only there for 2 nights. Would definitely recommend.

Been coming to the Royal Yacht for several years now and it never disappoints. I do however have to point out one change which I’m hoping is down to the current climate due to Covid and not me becoming old before my time. We used to really enjoy sitting out front for some drinks or a night cap but for some reason it’s become party central for loud groups of youngsters the majority of whom smoke. There are two outdoor areas at the yacht one of them should be non smoking and for residents. When you pay around £250 a night for a room you expect a bit more calm. Unfortunately our next trip will probably involve trying out the competition. You need to up your game on this if you want to keep your loyal customers.

It’s the third time we’ve stayed here in 6 years and we feel that it’s gone downhill. It’s always been pricey, but on previous visits we felt it offered good value for money. On this occasion, we didn’t. In the past we’ve really enjoyed our drinks on the outside terrace. On this trip, the bar was full of groups of loud, drunk youngsters on all three nights and we’d not experienced that before. The standard of room cleaning wasn’t as good, and there is no longer a turn down service. All in all it didn’t feel as special and I’m not sure we’d return as the prices are high and don’t reflect the standard of the experience. I did have an excellent massage though, and the check in and waiting staff at breakfast were all very friendly and helpful.
