Hotel Gran Ms Kyoto

We stayed in a Japanese style room with small garden with our 2 teenage children. It was a great space for the 4 of us and we all enjoyed sleeping on the futons. There was plenty of hanging space for clothes and suitcases. The area was great too, being close to shopping areas, plenty of options for eating, Nishiki market and Gion. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is localed in a great zone, lots of shops and restaurantes around! There's a 7/11 just in front of the hotel. Also lawson and family mart super close. Uniqlo, Macdonalds, starbucks, kfc all of them close by walking. The closest stations are Kyoto Shiyakusho-mae Station and Sanjo Station. Lots of buses stopped close the hotel, which take you to tourist destinations like the Kinkaku-ji temple. We stayed at a traditional japanese room with no western beds and only futons, the experience was great! I was a bit afraid of not being able to sleep, but it was very comfortable. The room feels very spacious due to not having huge beds. The room was facing the street and we didn't struggle with noise. The toilet is separated from the shower. I feel like the water could be more abundant in the tub. I tried to get some hot water for like 20 min and not even a quarter was filled. Would stay again!

We had a great stay here with our 3 kids! The hotel was perfect, offering a pullout couch in our room. We loved the proximity to the covered market! Just fyi, a taxi can’t drop you off right at the front door, but it wasn’t a problem for us!
