Nice place for a family to stay in Hakone. Nothing really in walking distance, but the hotel does provide a free shuttle service, including from Odawara so contact them too find out more.

Excellent Room for the family, breakfast was great. Location can be a bit remote but there is a free hotel shuttle service with limited time slots. Best to rent a car to get the full tour of the area.

The shuttle service is very nice and it is a beautiful property. The ambiance and service is first class upon arrival and the room was very spacious and comfortable. The food we had was delicious but not different from room service and limited day time options. The onsen is great but people should teach their children to be quiet in the spa area. The only negative on service was we came in from the cold rain at 2:30, asked for the living room fire to be turned on in living room and were told no. For a high end property like this, it’s nice to cater to client needs if it’s reasonable (not sure an extra hour of fire going should be a big deal, but maybe it’s just me!)

My family and I stayed there for couple days. Because of the rain, we didn’t get to go out at all, so we stayed at the facility and enjoyed the onsen, and the great food and service they offered.

Smooth check in process, and staff spoke sufficient English to fulfill needs. Very clean hotel and hot spring. Breakfast and dinner included in half board were excellent. Would use this hotel again and would recommend to family and friends. 5/5 stars!

We had a really wonderful stay at the Hakone Hyatt Regency. As a family of 5 we are often squished in Japanese hotel rooms, but these rooms were large and spacious - perfect! We spent the day going to an onsen in Hakone but I would be dissapointed if I stayed at the Hyatt for the purpose of only using their onsen (which is inside). A bit dated and the showers a bit rusty. Lastly there are not any restaurants around, so you are limited to dining at the hotel - which would have been fine but the dining room was booked solid when we were there. We were able to have some bar-type food (hamburgers etc.) in the lounge but would have planned differently if we had known that. Even with those two cons, I would still go back in a minute and highly recommend it!
