Hotel San Gallo

The was a lovely, quaint hotel near shops and restaurants. Our family of 10 stayed at this hotel and they handled all of us getting to our rooms in a timely fashion. Staff was available 24/7 for assistance. The most lovely thing at the hotel was the terrace on the rooftop. It is a quiet area several floors above the street with tables, chairs and flowers everywhere. It was my favorite place to relax during our wonderful and chaotic vacation.

Good cost in Venice. Operated by a family with deep care to us A terrace being provided at roof is very good for a backpacking guy who can chat with friends from other countries. OFC for smoking. Excellent locations to all major tour spots.

a minute walk to the square. very friendly family staff with morning coffee and croissants if you wish. only draw back is stairs getting up to reception, but staff comes out and down the stairs to handle your bags the moment you come in front door

The service at this locally family owed hotel was simply fantastic. I cannot say how sweet they were to me assisting me on a tour to Burano and Murano. I wanted a relaxing no pressure tour and the suggested was perfect. On departure they arranged a water taxi to the airport, which I will always be forever grateful as there was a shortage due to the film festival. Daily housekeeping and fresh towels. Location is quite and super easy to find (after you find it. Note: contact them for specific directions don’t use app map. Newbie mistake on my part), and extremely centrally located and close to excellent restaurants. A/C works great. I would definitely stay here again. Are there fancier hotels, yes. However, they treated me like family. The in room shampoo provided is actually very nice. The housekeeper always waved to me in the morning. They greet every guest coming and going. The cafe outside kept me from crowds. Excellent top notch restaurants near by. I felt I was living in Venice and not an invoice. Oh, they knew where I could get my COVID test at no charge for my onward journey. Again, they were so wonderful to me that they deserve a great review.

Location is very central. The family running the hotel is super friendly and helpful. Would stay there again. 5 stars!
